United.com is now directing to pss.united.com.

United is dead.
Long live United!

UA767400 Mar 2, 2012 11:55 pm

continental.com ceases to exist now

demkr Mar 2, 2012 11:55 pm

Both united.com and continental.com now redirected to pss.united.com. Cannot login as per the planned outage.

Hi demkr, this will only happen for another minute or so and then will be unavailable.

GlobalSTL Mar 2, 2012 11:59 pm

FYI unitedairlines.com.au still seem to be up and running with the old UA format....

All is as expected so far :) I had to cancel my travel plans for this evening, so I won't be able to have the "in the airport" experience of the new system until I fly later on in the week.

Thank you again for your support and presence on the forum!

Same for unitedairlines.com.hk, but if you login to MileagePlus (redirects to ua2go.com), it says:

We're sorry, we were unable to process your request. Either the system is currently unavailable or the web site is experiencing heavy traffic. Please reattempt your request later.

The international sites now seem to be down as well...

GlobalSTL Mar 3, 2012 12:13 am

Phones are also now down - the message on the 1K line thanks you for selecting the new united and says they are currently updating the reservations system - then hangs up.

The Aussie number has the same message - just not a polished with a lady saying it very fast.

Get some sleep UAInsider! It's going to be a long weekend....

SEA777GUY Mar 3, 2012 12:24 am

No surprise on this one! They don't want to answer the 100's of calls from FT's calling to "see how it's going"
:)

How are things going on in Europe? Does anyone have problems checking in?

Angust Mar 3, 2012 12:42 am

You can still visit the hub.united.com for updates :D so not a total wash

Heading to LHR T1 as we speak. Will update if things are pear shaped.

Update: UA has things well in hand. Checkin looked like a manual process but staffing was about 2x normal. Lots of folks ealking around with clipboards getting passenger info while standing in line for the checkin desks. GM lines shorter than normal. Premier lines a little longer than normal. I'm guessing that's because GM area usually has a few closed desks but all were open.

I had pre-printed boarding pass so no reason to wait around after the passport check but was told no seat changes at this time by one of the clipboard agents.
