grrr...tried to check in online at T-24 and get the message that the reservation requires special handling and to check in at a kiosk. Have NEVER had that on a domestic non-stop...

And yes, I also had the IE when I tried to log into my account...had to log in with Firefox.

Same here.

Also:
  • The majority of my existing reservations now claim that a "modification has been made" and that I need to call reservations (e.g. the e-ticket is out of sync).
  • The site refuses to remember my login info; I probably need to clear all of my cookies. I'm tired already of pulling out my OP card to look up the number, but I guess that's practice toward memorizing it.
  • All of the PNRs have changed. I suppose that was unavoidable?
  • Past itineraries, although mostly correct on the preview site, are nowhere near correct on the live site. Minor annoyance as I usually print e-receipts on the day of travel and don't rely on coming back in later. Also, past itineraries seem to be incomplete or messed up within the itineraries themselves (e.g. missing segments, incorrect payment type, etc.

I'm sure I'll find more issues as I check around. The worst issue of all is the navigability of the site itself; there are way too many inline links in the pages (vs. in menus or other navigation areas), and way too many places where you have to use browser back buttons to get back (e.g. call up an itinerary's receipt, and it opens in a nice, printable format--but not in a new window, and you have to hit "back" in the browser to get back to the itinerary list; this is and has been a big HCI no-no since the mid-1990s...)

Apart from lost seat assignments, Life Time miles is now 0 :(

Everything else looks fine, got a message saying my Itin has changed and to ring in, but it hasn't.

Will wait and see if it's corrected.

Oh and Opt out the phone privacy section, default is opt in!

My UA miles seem to be missing as well. There are a few listed in the history but not counted as "Premier Qualifying".

Everything is fine with me.

Lifetime miles added right.

Total miles added right.

Elite Miles/Segments add up.

New PNRs have a link to the old UA and CO PNRs.

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to let you know that tickets upgraded with a Global Premier Upgrade, Regional Premier Upgrade or a Mileage Upgrade Award may initially display the message, “A modification has been made to your itinerary. Please contact United Reservations to have your ticket reissued.” We’ll be running a process to synchronize these reservations automatically over the course of the next day, but, this process has not yet begun. Your flights will remain upgraded, but, in the new system, we need to take an additional step to match your reservation with your ticket (e.g. put it back in synch).

If your traveilng before this process runs, you won't be able to check in online, but, we'll be able to put your ticket back in synch and get you checked in at the airport.

This information has been added to the master thread in post #1 as well.

Shannon

I am traveling tomorrow on a domestic flight and the upgrade cleared with a Complimentary Premier Upgrade. Will the same process apply to my itinerary?

A little confusion at check in at ABQ. Other than that, things appear to be going well.

semifrequentflyer Mar 3, 2012 6:39 am

Uh oh...

Only continental's RDM's showing for me right now. My wife's account shows 0 EQM and non-combined RDM. Hopefully all this gets sorted out in the next 24 hours or it will be a long weekend on the phone...on hold.

I get this on one of my handful of itins.

Keep at it guys! Sounds like a nightmare to me.:)

I'm seeing the same thing. Available miles are only from the CO account. UA miles haven't been migrated yet.

Another odd thing I'm seeing is on an NRT-SFO-xxx itin. My SFO-xxx segment is now showing before the NRT-SFO as they are both on the same day and the domestic flight has an 'earlier' departure time.

[expletive deleted]. One of my flight reservations has completely disappeared from PSS. And it happens to be for this morning's flight.

I printed out the BP last night but now I wonder if it will work when I get to the airport.

Ugh.

On a positive note, my Trusted Traveler info merged over from my linked OP account!

My itineraries are all there, no issues with seat assignments.

All my miles are still zero. I assume this will appear sometime over the weekend.

Upgrade Waitlist Disappear?

Tried to upgrade a couple reservation involving BF flights to Hawaii. Now it is allowed to use RPU. Unfortunately only waitlisted though.

After applying CR1, only the first segement is shown waitlisted. All the remaining waitlist (including BF flight to Hawaii) are not shown. Is this normal?

In the scheme of things I guess there are bigger problems, but this is a problem for anyone trying to search for first class saver awards where there is a connection:

If I do an award search, for example, for CUN-BOS one way, 4 pax on 1/1/13, on the old CO system I was warned that all the saver first class seats were "mixed cabin". Clicking on that warning revealed that first (or intl biz) was available on the first segment but the connection was in economy. (apparently only 2 first class saver seats have been released on every connecting flight that day, but that is anther story).

On the new system there is no warning and it thus looks like you are booking the forward cabin on both segments. Only if you look closely on the next screen will you see that the system has put you in economy on the connection.

This really needs to be addressed to make the award search useable.

The process of buying future tickets is: confusing, seems to require more steps, I can't find the lowest fare shown.

I know - its me. I attract my negative experiences.
Will be at the airport later this afternoon... Will be interesting.

Hi Sprezzatura, if you could PM me with your account number, we’d like to research this for you.
