In fact, the appetizer of jumbo shrimp and salmon was unusually good as well.

This was the best food quality that I have ever seen on UA/CO in Biz.
That was a signature CO BF dish pre-merger. It is good, isn't it?

LHR-LAX in business class?

Does anyone have any recent insights into the menu options?

Thanks!

Global First ORD-PEK August 1 of 2

Purchased V fare using GPU to upgrade to C, then OP-UG to F (both me and companion)

Great pix, UA_Flyer! You can make any UA meal look good!

Wow 2x u/g, haven't seen one of those in ages!

Yes!

This is definitely something about the merger that I really like!

Also, the PMCO crew on this flight was truly outstanding.
I hate to generalize this early after the merger because I have only flown about 10 PMCO birds so far this year, but it appears that the PMCO crews are far superior to the PMUA crews.

Thanks for your comment on the photos. Pictures can be deceiving!

Double upgrades are rare now! Fortunately for me, it was an irregular operation...five hours delay!

What are the typical menu options for DXB-IAD and then IAD-DXB in BusinessFirst?

Thanks

Look at my posts #253 and #283

Those were the meal options that I had on a recent IAD-DXB-IAD trip in late June.

No food GCM-IAD?

I fly back and forth pretty much every month, and there's usually a meal in F and BOB in coach. Yesterday there was neither. Wondering if this was a glitch or a change related to the changeover in servicing this route w/737 vs. Airbus. Just curious what to expect for the future.

(Edit: Just realized I probably posted this in the wrong thread. Mods, feel free to move as appropriate. Thx.)

The congee on this particular flight was too thick for my liking. also the condiment was hard and cold.

The congee served on the PMCO flight was much better. See below

UA EWR-IST-EWR vegetarian meals in Business/First

Flying December in the newly configured 767-300 (2 cabin) in Business/First.

UA.com states dinner but "no special meal offered" on both legs. UA general website says specials allowed on all trans-Atlantic flights (contradicts what my reservation says).

Am I to understand that for a 10 hour trip in Business/First that I should bring my own food on?

I did make select Asian Vegetarian on ua.com. Anyone flown these flights and know if there is usually a veg option, or have experience getting the special meal request handled properly? I called the 1K line and the agent told me she could not tell me one way or the other if they would do a special meal even if she put the request in. I asked if by being able to put it in, it meant it would happen (otherwise why allow it to be requested?) and she said "not any more, we can't be sure now".

Any experience or magic words to use appreciated.

Cheese and Port

Dessert - I skipped the sundae

Breakfast/prior to arrival - cold plate
