Mrs. mahajanvikas is a TK Gold Elite and I was wondering if she can be comped to some other airline?

Malev does that for OneWorld, matching it with Gold. Check the Malev section, or google the Malev site.

THY is BIG TIME crap - but they will ll probably be better when they see their own GOLD card rather than the one of their major competitor ie LH :)

Any Update?

I am very interested in moving my CO Platinum Elite account to Turkish Airlines. They have a great product and their Elite card holders have benefits far superior to CO. Does anyone know how to contact TK to match status? Thanks

ambrogz Feb 22, 2012 2:15 pm

they just don t get what a status match is and it s the same story on the plane

all in all TK does not speak much of english but their product is in general very good - meaning there are good brains behind them but the staff is poorly trained :(((((

I am hoping to hear of an update on this question. Being a United Premier Platinum member has become meaningless with the disaster at the new UA. All I want is an airline that will credit my missing mileage, send my new elite credentials BEFORE they expire from the previous year, take my telephone calls without a 45-minute hold and treat me like the good, high-revenue customer that I am. Thank you.

TK is good crediting miles. It works every time automatically if you have spelled your name correctly as it is on your profile and the retroclaim via email works fast and efficiently. Call center also answers quite fast and i have never waited more than 10min, bad news is that person answering your call in my experience isn't usually quite knowledgeable or happy to help you. What comes to TK treating their customers, you will be disappointed big time. There is no recognition and the ground services are simply awful especially in IST.

Until the last few months I would have agreed with you but I have had a spate of flights not citing properly in recent months one of which took them weeks to correct.

Were those TK flights?

Consider yourself fortunate: I have been waiting for UA to credit flights taken in January, February and March on partner airlines. I have begun to recognize the agents whom I speak to after being on hold for 30-45 mins about this issue. The agents seem embarrassed by their own new airline.
