So, next time you're on a paid C/F ticket and they downgrade you to Y WITHOUT a refund of the fare difference; deny you access to their lounge, notwithstanding *G rules and fare paid; and refuse to comply with their own published tariffs for seniors, just roll over and tell them, "again please"

Not at all. I don't think this is what people here are suggesting you do. Quite the contrary (read my previous posts and those of others). However, it seems that not only you've decided to pursue this legally but you have already foreseen the outcome. Which makes me wonder why you started this thread in the first place? Clearly not for seeking advice

To advise what to expect of TK and to advise that passengers do have rights against this type of behavior.

I think that's fair enough. I am cross with SA for cancelling a flight and putting me on the red eye the next morning - and not offering any compensation. I intend to follow your case carefully as I'm sure seizing an aeroplane would make me feel better.

Seizures also have a tendency to get the offenders attention since they don't respond to customer complaints.

After the plane was seized, and released following the posting of a $100K bond which "somehow" got LH's attention (prior written complaints went unanswered - same as TK), the case was settled ($$) without trial so it would not be found in F.Supp, but if you ask the Clerk of the US Dist Ct in Atlanta to pull the case file, unless its been put on microfish, you can read all about it.

Settled w/o Trial

Claims resolved by Settlement - after admitting that the senior discount was in fact 60, and not 65; attempting to provide refund for the difference paid of full C R/T of only SAR420 based on full 1-way JED-FCO in Y and full 1-way C for FCO-JED which was immediately rejected; and having no answers for the CIP-IST "cow" who refused my wife entry after reading the TK-IST correspondence to the contrary and refused to honor my *A gold card provided BKK-IST-BKK C-class ticket valid until 23 October 09. Although I can only use it to fly TK, at least they can't switch the A340 to an A321 for a 7500km flight! And, I haven't been to IST (city) in nearly 3-years (been 8-times before).
To those of you who wanted to see the TK plane seized, maybe next time, but a good attorney knows when to call it a day and even "winning" a law suit is really not that much fun for the aggrvation endured.

so the JED customer service team finally got round to clearing their post ramadan backlog. you have no evidence your threatend action was the reason for the resolution.

Precisely the point I was trying to make earlier on this thread: it seems to me the OP had not even bothered to pursue things the "regular" way...

Right, contrary to your rantings, it seems that the airline eventually did the right thing to correct poor customer service (not suprising) in KSA.

Sure, what happened to you was wrong, although not the end of the world and certainly the kinds of things that happen from time to time if one flies a lot. How many lawsuits do you think that airlines have against them in the U.S.? Too many to count, I am sure. I cannot imagine why you think that filing suit is the most effective course of action in your situation.

I have been surprised to find TK's customer service (both their toll-free number in the U.S. and in person in Istanbul) to be acceptable, and overall find it a perfectly fine airline, on par with other major European carriers. (On short- and mid-haul routes, I have found their food in Y to be a bit above-average; in C, perhaps a bit below-average.)

I enjoyed my single (reward) flight with TK from IST-BEY in business.

The check in assistant was bemused, though, that I was flying IST-BEY-CAI-JNB-CPT. She said with surprise: "we fly direct to CPT, you know". Ah, but how much less interesting that would have been.
