After my flight, I can confirm that row 3 on the 777 in J is well aligned with the windows and also far enough from both galleys that the noise of cooking and food preparation was not bothersome, nor was the light.

had a really smooth call with a Turkish agent at the 1-800-874-8875 number just now to select seats for upcoming travel in September. His English was quite good and he did not have much of an accent. I was expecting a lot worse after reading some of the comments here but it turned out ok

Took 2A & 2B on TK 21 (2-3-2 seating according to agent) and TK 35 (2-2-2 seating)

I selected the following seats for my trip in July.

SFO-IST: 4K
IST-AMS: 4F

ATH-IST: 2k
IST-YUL: 2k

Hope these are good seats lol

Seat pick Turkish Airlines

I'm able to select my seat on 8 october. Will there be a new tab online to pick my seat, or I need to call the local office to get the seat , that i want?

Hi,
If you are referring to the TK website, as far as I know, the only time when it's possible to choose a seat online is at booking time - meaning you won't be able to select it online on october 8th :(
I've tried calling once in such a case, but I wasn't successful in having a seat selected (they told me I had to do it at the airport). I don't know if this is systematic though.

You will have to call TK. There is no way to select seats on-line after the initial reservation on the current TK website.

Just a point of information-- I also booked in advance of being able to select seats online, and then called and was able to select my seats. Then called back a week later, and some of the seats I had chosen were there, and some were not. So I selected them again; so far they haven't gone away. Hopefully they'll stick until my flight, but if you're worried about your seat selection, I'd suggest checking once or twice to make sure the selection is in the system.

Called earlier to get our seats to IAH assigned. The agent refuse to give out the bulkhead seat, has TK changed their policy or it's just that agent?

TIA

Flying SFO-IST-FCO in a few months. I had a couple seating questions:

1) Any strong preferences for seating on 777 from SFO-IST? I have read row 2 or 3 are acceptable. Does mini cabin (rows 5-7) have any advantages?
2) Is there really only 1 restroom for all of business class?!?!

my wife and i are on separate tickets for bkk-ist and were able to call in and get us seated together.

i'm on ist-tlv and they couldn't assign those seats / coded as seats assigned at checkin.

I will be flying Turkish Airlines (GRU-EZE) on 01/29/16*. I am booked in Business Class, which I paid for with United miles. Would I still have to call Turkish Airlines' 800 number to get a seat assignment, or could I do this online somehow?
In either case, which confirmation number would I use to bring up my itinerary? The United confirmation number? I wasn't issued any others (typically, United issues separate confirmation numbers for foreign carriers).

* one flight segment of a larger itinerary

Called in to select my seats. Wow was that easy and fast. I did try last week around noon EST and gave up after being on hold for 10+ mins. Just called at 3:30EST and no waiting!

I have C award seats through UA. (SCQ-IST, IST-LAX)
Called the 1-800 874 8875 number to get Turkish "Resevation Code" so you can bring up res on Turkish on-line site.
Needed e-ticket number for confirmation.

As everyone has reported above, no way to select seats on-line.
I am 101 days out so will try tomorrow to select seats.
One concern is the small Business cabin: 4 rows of 2-3-2.
There are two of us.
I do not want to get stuck in the 3 row middle seats for this long haul.
What a crappy seat configuration for Business.
Got stuck in the 3 row middle on Lufthansa SEA to FRA in June. Did end up on Aisle...but....

I wouldn't worry too much about it. When I called at T-100 days, there was only one seat taken in the C class cabin. You should't have any issues getting two seats together on the window sides (window + aisle seat).

Edit: If I've done the math correctly, you're flying IST-LAX on February 26th, correct?
This is what the seat map looks like now. Blue seats are taken.

In case I messed up the dates, here's the info for February 27th as well.
