Just boarded IST ATH, A330-300. Surprised to see a 7-row recliner C cabin. Seems to be brand new. In my inflight magazine found a BP stub IKA IST so it seems to fly around a bit. I'll try to get the reg on my way out.
A few data points to add to the above:
MLA IST A321, euro business
IST GYD A321, proper business, subbed in from euro business last minute
TLL IST 738, proper business with sky interior

Reg is TC-LOD. Seems to fly some distances too - today it flew to TAS, MOW and IKA seem regular. Something to be aware of!

I'd be very grateful if anyone can help me out:
TK677, Addis Ababa-Istanbul, shown as a 737-800: can anyone advise whether this route has the "proper" 4-abreast C class configuration or just the 6-abreast with an empty middle seat?
Thanks!

I'm going to answer my own question based on what I've found out since posting it, in the hope that it might be helpful for others.
Specifically, I knew that the route was operated by a 737-800, but seatguru shows three versions of the aircraft, two of which have "bad" C class seats.
The "good" C class config has 151 seats in total; the "bad" configs have more.
I went to Flights History in FlightRadar24 which lets me see (no subscription needed) the last 7 days of the flight in question, along with the registrations of the operating aircraft on each of those days.
Then I went to planespotters.net which helpfully lists the seating config of each TK 737-800 by registration.
This let me verify that all of the flights over the last week have been with the 151-seat "good C class" configuration, so I can feel reasonably hopeful that next week's will be too.
It took a few minutes to check all this but (for me anyway) it was worth it to check before booking, lest I end up paying a C class fare for Y class legroom/recline on an overnight flight.
Hope it's useful for someone!

p.s. I just searched a bit and it looks like it's a former Skymark A330 leased from Intrepid Aviation Partners (IAP)

You'll never know what type of seat you will be on until you check in online at the earliest, sometimes you don't know until you get to the boarding gate. My IST-ESB flight was scheduled with 777 initially, then down gauged to 737-900 (no biggie since it's 2-2 J seats), then finally 24 hours before checking in it's economy seats with middle seats blocked.

Debating if we should take DXB IST LHR IST DXB on the 777-300ER (Economy) since we have never flow Turkish Airlines before.
QA has given us this option if we want to rebook due to the ongoing Diplomatic issue affecting DXB DOH LHR DOH DXB.
So would it be worth it? Our other options is wait to get booked on British Airways (747-400) or Gulf Air (A320).

Thanks! We already got rebooked on TK. all legs are on the 777-300ER with seats on rows 17, 21, 26 and 29 allocated.
As per TK flight seat map 29 is exit row but the call center said it is not an exit row. Who is correct?

Strange, for my return IST-LHR flight on a 777-300ER its showing row 26 in economy as just 2 seats on the window/aisle section
But on another date it shows row 26 as having 3 seats. Anyone if this is just an error?

weird because for all my TK flights next week which are 777-300ER I have selected seats together i.e. A+B+C or K+J+H which as per below are together:
