You have to options: write to the Ombudsman and hire one of those attorneys that deal with GE/Nexus revocations.

Thanks for reply. What does GE means ? Do you or anybody on this forum knows any good attorneys who are very expert and dealing with these kind of cases ?
Thanks If you search google for Nexus denial attorneys, you'll find a number of them listed. Some of them deal with both Nexus and GE denial, some just GE, some just Nexus. The Canadian lawyers in this field tend to focus on Nexus denials. Do a search, then check their qualifications with their local state bar / attorney association / law society. Read their through websites, search their names, look for newspaper mentions, ask for past clients who will talk to you about them, etc. Or you can write your appeal by yourself. But if Nexus is important to you, or if you're in business and it costs you $$$ to wait in line, then a lawyer may be worth the expense. They tend to have a much better sense than a random denied applicant about what CBSA and CBP want to hear, how to phrase the request, and what documentation to include. |

Thanks for detailed reply with clarification. Yes I am trying to search in google but really not find any good one. Thats why I posted here that if anyone can recommend. Anyhow, NEXUS is not important for me but my record is more important for me. I am worried after having conversation with CBP supervisor. He said, even if I have clean immigration record, still I am not eligible for that because there is something wrong in my record. Do you think it will make a difference if I send a detail appeal through lawyer rather than by myeself ? And how much time i have to appeal ? Anyhow, thank you once again. i am trying to search on google if i find anyone. |
Newbie2FT, its always best to read the posts about the subject. stress is not a US citizen or other US status, therefore he is not eligible for GE
As for stress attempting to clear his record using Nexus, seems like a colossal waste of time. Nexus does no investigating nor clearing of claims of faulty data, they are a vetting organization. They found a case where stress was denied entry (he doesn't dispute this), that is enough for declining a trust program. |

They found a case where stress was denied entry (he doesn't dispute this), that is enough for declining a trust program. Nowhere in my response to stress did I state he was a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or otherwise eligible for Global Entry, or direct him to apply for GE. And as for the substance of his situation, a number of attorneys who specialize in Nexus denial cases indicate on their websites and in other informational materials that they have achieved eventual issuance of Nexus membership, even in similar situations to this. For that reason, I suggested that stress carefully read through the materials available, look for referrals, and seek testimonials from past clients -- if stress decides to go that route. Also, importantly to stress (according to him), the lawyer may be useful in gathering information about how future attempts by stress to enter the United States will be treated. |
SurreyCRV and Newbie2FT. Bro, I am thanking you both and also those who replied to my post. Your replies were helpful and I was not confused at any point. Also this discussion will be helpful to other readers too who has similar cases.
Actually, Newbie is right, that decision can be changed if we present our case in an articulate way. I figured out that Lawyers can fight to get Nexus if it is denied by CBP on vague information or on the basis of thoughts of CBP officer. I just found one Attorney who is saying that he can try for that and his profile is saying that he was CBP officer in past. Might be he knows US immigration internal procedures and flaws. Anyhow, I am still looking for anyone who can recommend me a tested attorney. This is really very stressful for me. Not because of denied nexus card while for my immigration record. I do not care about Card anymore but if I travel to US, US CBP can create trouble for me and deny my entry again. So I must need to follow this. Thank you guys once again. |

Last year, a friend of ours flew from KUL to HKG then U.S.A. He had a valid U.S. visa from his previous employer. He was allowed to board in KUL. As soon as he landed in HKG, a CX agent informed him he could not proceed any further because his U.S. visa was revoked. He later found out all current and previous employees' visas obtained though that company were revoked. Good luck and keep us posted. |

Several lawyers were interviewed in those stories. Some were from the local chapters of the ACLU and the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, and might be able to provide a referral for an attorney specializing in this field who is local to you (or perhaps even recommend an attorney to take the case pro bono if you qualify financially). Below are some of the attorneys, hyperlinked to the news stories. (The mere fact they've been interviewed for a story doesn't make them suitable for your purposes, but at least it may be a starting point.)

Hi,
I applied with my wife and two kids, we have a trip booked and it is really close to our interview days. I booked an interview for each one of us, but they are all on different days. Based on past experiences that you know of, if we all show up at the first interview booked, would they be willing to do all 4 interviews the same day? The first interview is two weeks and a half before our trip, just enough time to receive the card. The last interview booked is just a week from our trip. Thanks |

We did my wife's Nexus renewal last night and it looks like this morning her Nexus information stopped reflecting her J-1 status. The CBP officer was surprised when she saw the J-1 and I94 in my wife's passport. I suspect that the renewal somehow reset her status in the Nexus system but when I try to add her I94 as a document of admissibility I have no options to change any documents since her renewal is pending review. Is her best bet to go to the Nexus office and make those changes again? Anyone else had this issue in the past?

I used NEXUS/Global Entry at YUL for the first time earlier this week. In a nutshell, I was left somewhat disappointed.
The NEXUS lane through security was closed, so it was shoes off, belt off, laptop out, and liquids out. After getting the ticket from the Global Entry kiosk, you seem to have to proceed to the exact same CBP officers that everyone else proceeds to. I was asked a few questions by that officer. Other than the fact that he didn't have to scan my passport, I could not see what was quicker about the process once I got to the CBP officer. Using NEXUS, on the other hand, upon returning to Canada was MUCH more convenient. |
What time were you at YUL?
