You can check for interview availability (without needing to be logged in) at TTP - Schedule Appointment
This page includes a checkbox you can use to show locations with the soonest availability, although they tend to be few in number and near border towns.
You may also wish to consider:
Note also that a location that has literally zero availability for future interviews today, may pop up with available slots tomorrow (or even later today), presumably as people with scheduled appointments do EOA or walk-in thus freeing up their original time slot. So it may be worth checking back periodically.

You may also wish to consider:
- Enrollment on Arrival, which can be done while clearing immigration during international return to the US: Global Entry Enrollment on Arrival
- Some locations offer walk-in interviews even if you do not have an appointment: Global Entry Walk-In Interviews
- If you will be passing through MIA, their GE office nearly always has immediate availability and is open very late.

Any recent experiences at ATL on getting an interview time? Right now it is showing January 2020 as the earliest available... I'm going to keep a check for cancellations, but I may have to look elsewhere.

After constantly checking, a spot opened up in Charlotte (yay!) - how do I continually check to see if other spots open up? Do I click on the 'reschedule' button and just look - I don't want to lose my spot, but just want to check to see if other spots become available. TIA
Just got a conditional approval and trying to find an opening at CLT. "No appointments available." Regardless of what I set for a date range or soonest available or whatever. Through August 2020, "No Appointments." Is this what you saw? They just say "Sorry, booked... forever"? And you have to constantly check to see if something opens up?

Update for anyone who'd like to get an interview at CLT:
Per my post the other week the situation seemed pretty bleak; online scheduler showed no appointments available at any time in the future. Gave them a call and asked a few questions.
With respect to walk-ins at CLT, they do accept a limited number. While customs opens at 8am, the person I was talking to said something to the effect of, "If you really want to try it, I'd say don't be in line any time later than 630am. There are people in line as early as 430am. And once we take as many people as we can, that's that. Doesn't matter how far you drove, came from Raleigh, if you're going to call your congressman, whatever. When it's done it's done."
With regard to appointments, they are/were (at the time of the call) booked through the end of 2019. However, they suggested continuing to check online for openings, and that towards the end of this month (August '19 as I write this) some more openings should be becoming available, might even be some night time appointments available, but they just couldn't go live with that calendar just yet.
I kept checking the online schedule at least daily if not multiple times a day, and eventually some openings did appear! One was the same day and I couldn't take off work. Then some opened up end of September, which I'm currently slated for.
Moral of the story is keep checking, they do appear!

I signed up and was approved for GE in mid July. There was nothing available in my home state, I ended up driving 3+hrs to Detroit/Ambassador Bridge. The interview was scheduled a month out, though there were spotty times available earlier at the airport none of them would work with my schedule.
Interview was ~10 minutes in and out. Got my GE card a week later in the post.
A good excuse for a day trip to a city I hadn’t been to in a while I guess.

I was looking at scheduling appointments in January at this point.
Found the SFO @goesbot on Twitter. I was able to score an interview today, and on Sunday for my wife.
So we will both be GE approved within a week of our conditional approval.
You just have to be quick on the draw, and flexible with the schedule.

I'm also seeing that JFK is wide open; however, there's no availability past November 30. I assume that's this because they only release interviews x months out, but can anyone confirm this is correct?

The whole month of December opened up for JFK in early October. I'm guessing that the system is set up to show current calendar month plus next two calendar months, so the third month out pops up on the first day of the new month, give or take.

Our closest airport is booked out until the end of time, lol. The next closest one, which has wide open availability, we could easily drive to and make a weekend out of it. But then I started checking, and instead of driving, we could fly there in the morning, do our interviews and have lunch, and then hop on a plane back and be home by early evening. Am I missing any reason why we couldn't do this??

On the other hand, if you spend a little time searching for cancellations at your nearest enrollment center, you are very like to find something suitable in 72 hours or less. Best time to search is when that enrollment center is open and check frequently everyday.
Good luck.
