You can check for interview availability (without needing to be logged in) at TTP - Schedule Appointment

This page includes a checkbox you can use to show locations with the soonest availability, although they tend to be few in number and near border towns.

You may also wish to consider:
  • Enrollment on Arrival, which can be done while clearing immigration during international return to the US: Global Entry Enrollment on Arrival
  • Some locations offer walk-in interviews even if you do not have an appointment: Global Entry Walk-In Interviews
  • If you will be passing through MIA, their GE office nearly always has immediate availability and is open very late.

Note also that a location that has literally zero availability for future interviews today, may pop up with available slots tomorrow (or even later today), presumably as people with scheduled appointments do EOA or walk-in thus freeing up their original time slot. So it may be worth checking back periodically.

Finally, a whole bunch of slots opened up for Sep 7th on the day before and I was able to pick the same timeslot for both of us.

During the interview, the officer mentioned that he'd opened up quite a few slots for the next few days. Apparently, they were all taken up already. He hinted that they may open up more slots since the demand is very high.

If you are based in AUS or are looking for appointments there, don't give up yet. Keep checking for slots to open up.
I tried over the weekend and didn't get anything, San Antonio were open in December but then got one for early October. Then got one in mid October for Austin and 2 days later for early October.

Don't give up, just keep trying.

As of tonight, both LAX and Long Beach center are fully booked 6 months out. You can't make any appointment unless someone cancels.

Global Entry appointments come and go very quickly. It is easy to say nothing is available until mid 2017. By doing a new search every 5 minutes when your GE office is open, it is very likely an appointment will be available and acceptable in 48 hours or less.

Wow, I didn't realize it was *that* bad in some other places, especially SFO! I applied 5/24, received conditional approval on 6/12, and was able to immediately schedule my appointment at LAX TBIT on 7/7. I fumbled a few minutes and the early afternoon slot went away quickly, but I was able to book a late afternoon slot. For what it's worth, I showed up about 15 minutes early, and they were able to take me then. It seemed like they were busy, but not too busy to turn walk-ups away. [A snarky statement on government efficiency has been redacted here.]

does anyone have any experience with the BOS enrollment center? Mu buddy got the conditional approval a couple days ago. Appt is set for Nov 15th but since he will be traveling abroad on the 17th, he's hoping to do the appt earlier. Best advice I have him was to check often to see if slots opened before his. People always cancel.

Is BOS ok with walk-ins?

One last thing. if he interviews and gets approved. for pre-check purposes, Will he be able to get the Known Traveler Number from the Officer right after approval or does he have to wait for the card? Are GE-privileges active immediately after approval?

No need to wait for the physical card. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...ferrerid=22732

Yes, after final approval which may take from a few minutes to up to a few days.

Good luck atcannobio! I got my GE a few months ago but the BOS center was then booked solid through March 2017. I decided to fly to Newark to get in asap (and it has been well worth it). BOS may have just recently opened up more space, but I think they're probably very backed up based on my experience.

And now it's worse. If you select Long Beach it just says "Appointments are Fully Booked". No calendar at all. LAX brings up a calendar, but when you move thru the dates there isn't a single blue date....ever. I went all the way into 2019. That means I can't even book a placeholder to satisfy the 30 day requirement. I'm going to have to book a placeholder at some random location to make sure I satisfy the 30 requirement.

I think they only have appointment up to 6 months out. When LAX first ran out of April 2017 appointment, it looks just like Long Beach. You get the the "Appointment full booked" message. Now it is what you described. But I think May 2017 will open up by Nov 1. Have to wait and see. I hope Long Beach will open up too.

Global Entry Interview-Private Events?

Hi All, so m local global entry is booked out until the end of may (PDX) and the don't talk walk in's, and I've been checking every 10 minutes for days to no avail (I think everyone is). I see a bunch of private events that I can book on the global entry select location. A few of them are conferences or mobile events--and heck I'm willing to sign up for a conference in order to get this interview in far sooner. Anyone figure out which conferences these are? One is UWSEA in November, I don't mind driving to UW if I would qualify for one of those appointments.

If private events don't work, any other ideas/suggestions? Traveling in late November and December so really want to get in before then. Thanks!!

It's a longer drive for you than Seattle, but Blaine, WA (Birch Bay Enrollment Center) is reportedly very easy to schedule at for NEXUS (and presumably also Global Entry); it's even open weekends.

Great tip thanks. I'm actually out of Eugene, so that's about a 10 hour drive for me, so am hoping I don't have to resort to that. Sounds like it might be the only option though....
