Don't cancel it because the system will think you're cancelling your whole application - failing to show for your allocated slot will have the same effect.
It's probably not fatal, but the aggravation of recovering the situation is certainly an awful lot greater than just moving the appointment in the first place!

I sent my application off last Tuesday, and 7 days later have been asked to schedule my interview.
Very impressive turn-around time.
For anyone interested, you seem to be able to schedule the interviews at least 60 days ahead. I have booked mine for late January at Miami, and there were plenty of available slots.

Completed my interview at Citi Canada Square today.
Very straightforward process. Arrived at Citi reception. Produced identity and given security pass. Escorted to temporary offices manned by US Customs and Border Protection staff. Asked questions such as how many times I visit US, reason, etc. Finger prints and photo taken and Global Entry system explained. Took no more than 10 minutes and I can use Global Entry from now.
Congratulations to the UK and US teams that have set up this process. From initial application to final approval, 8 days. I don't think it gets much better than that.

1. faster clearance, maybe, by CBP
2. Ability to get interview in London, although looks like those locations are all booked out already, at least from what i could see when i tried.

Thanks for the input. Seems too good to turn down given Pre-check and no CBP grilling (for all those (international) MRs...). I guess my only concern is that I'm relatively small...it might be a challenge to gather all those required docs (heck, I don't even have a driver's license...)

Just got the email and conditional approval as well ^
Applied on the evening of 24th - obviously my 2nd citizenship wasn't an issue.
Good timing, as I am off to US this weekend for few days - let's hope I can arrange an interview to tie in with that...

I got an invite code yesterday, applied yesterday, got to the end (post-payment) and got an internal server error back! Having emailed the "GE Inbox" team back, I gather that the were issues last night, the system has no record of my application, no record of whether or not the payment went through, but the invitation code is marked as used so I can't apply again!
Currently waiting to hear back if they can give me a new invitation code. For anyone who applied last night, and who didn't get a confirmation email at the end of the application, it might be worth checking with them too about yours.
