SEA was fairly busy this morning (Sunday after Veterans Day). Clear + Pre Check took about 3 minutes, TSA guy looked at boarding pass, but didn't scan it. One other Clear member ahead of me.

Clear updated there website today..

Figured this'd help explain the experience to those who haven't tried it already.

Per today's email, Clear will be rolled out to:
  • Atlanta (ATL)
  • Los Angeles (LAX)
  • New York City (JFK + LGA)

No timetable provided. Me thinks this is related to the marketing scheme with DL.

Will be huge ^ if TBIT @LAX is included as the lines there are often horrendous.

I haven't seen an email, but the CLEAR website just says "coming soon" to LAX. Personally I've never had long lines at TBIT, but I sure have had them at T5, 6 and 7. Even with PreCheck. I'll be flying UA twice out of LAX in the next two weeks and it would have been great to have CLEAR.

CHECK YOUR AUTO-RENEWAL STATEMENT CAREFULLY.

Mine did not reflect the lower DL customer price despite the fact that I called months ago and was assured that my account had been updated.

Billing errors really annoy me, even more so when I've been a customer from the early days.

Take with a grain of salt: a TSA agent at PHL Terminal D said that the airport authority were in talks to get CLEAR.

Just looked for any possible legal documents. They don't exist as of yet. Still, keep an eye out everyone

I've had great luck with Clear, between BWI/DEN/IAH/SFO/DCA/IAD/SEA, it has been a lifesaver. Being Pre Check, the Pre Check queues, at SEA/SFO/DEN are horrendous, having Clear helps tremendously. Going to Terminal A at IAH and flying Delta/Spirit/etc w/o Clear is painful.

It's definitely been a lifesaver on mulitple occasions for me. Well worth the cost, especially with the increase in locations after the Delta deal.

Last time I was at DCA, the regular line was empty while Pre had a dozen or two folks, if I recall correctly.

Same situation experienced at DFW last week. Was looking for CLEAR lane as I wasn't aware that it was only at the Intl. terminal. Check-in person glanced over at the lines for security and smiled. There was no one at the regular TSA line but at least 20+ people in Pre-Check... She said "Sir, you are Cleared"... And we both laughed...

Strange thing happened at BWI two days before though... I was using my mobile boarding pass for CLEAR but I had to show ID to TSA since I actually didn't have a paper copy of boarding pass. Think this might have been the first time I experienced this type of treatment after being CLEARED. Is this a BWI thing as it was my first time using CLEAR at this airport.

Used Clear at Seattle the other day, and the TSA guy seemed to take the Clear escorts word that I was good to go rather than checking the boarding pass himself. Not many folks on the Pre line, but I wanted Clear to get usage numbers as much as possible.

The TSA guy always takes the CLEAR escorts word for it. They never look at my BP. At least that has been the case every time I've used CLEAR.

It's also SOP at DEN, too.

My client is almost equal distances from PHL and BWI. I want to fly in/out of BWI so I can use CLEAR, but the airport is on the south side of town and is typically 25% more expensive than flying into PHL. Oh well.

Thanks!! Just left SFO and Clear wasn't open as it was after midnight. TSA wanted to see ID after I scanned mobile BP. Just need to be prepared as perhaps things have changed "overnight". Not a problem!! Rolling with it!!
