Thanks all for the super useful thread as I was lurking while awaiting the approval of my own application. Registered and am posting hopefully for the benefit of other applicants...

Application submitted online: March 8, 2018
Conditional approval: April 20, 2018 (28 business days, not counting Good Friday/Easter Monday, as noted above, it seems that we can reliably expect a couple of weeks longer than the CBSA estimate)
Interview: April 20, 2018 in Ottawa (about 30 minutes after conditional approval email which must surely win a prize... and the next available slot was over two months from now, ouch)
Final approval: April 20, 2018 (about 20 minutes after interview)
Card received: May 1, 2018

Closing this out. After multiple calls and emails to both CBSA and the NEXUS Enrollment Center at Pearson, they finally agreed to call the NEXUS HQ in Vermont only to find out that they had indeed mailed the card to an incorrect address. They mailed out a new one on April 18 and it arrived on April 24.

So what happened? They looked at the notification letters uploaded to my account (the first for conditional approval and the second for the final approval). The address on the notification for conditional approval was indeed correct since it was pulling from the details that I provided when I applied. However, the address on the approval notification post-interview was missing both the street number and the apartment number. While at the interview, somehow the officer had changed the address incorrectly. I guess the moral here is to verify the address on your notification letters.

My wife and child were approved today

Applied online: March 26th, 2018
Conditionally approved: April 30th, 2018
Interview: TBD, probably in Blaine
Approved: TBD

Does anyone know if we know need to book 3 appointments or if we just need to book 2 appointments (one for each adult) and then call them to say our child will be attending too?

Update: Had our interviews in Blaine. Approved approximately 5 minutes after interview ended. Just waiting for the cards now.

Jealous. I applied the exact same day as you and still haven't been conditionally approved yet. (I've already got Global Entry and was adding NEXUS).

Impatiently Waiting

I applied on April 2, now May 8 and still Pending Review.

26 business days since applying online. Wait time listed at 20 days. Getting a little concerned, since my original Global Entry expired last Friday.

Edit: Checked this morning, and 'Conditionally Approved'. 28 business days and a little impatience. Looks like a trip to Detroit is in my near future.

Well, that was convenient. I just got my conditional approval today, finally. 28 business days, to my count. Scheduled my interview for June when I'll be passing through Buffalo.

Application process

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience getting Nexus card.
  1. I applied online and paid the feel
  2. Received conditional approval
  3. Booked interview online
  4. Had interview, did eye scan, fingerprints and picture
Now when I login it shows back to conditional approval and looks like it did before I booked my interview (i have the option to book again). I have called and was told that the american side still has my applicatin pending, but not sure how i could be back to conditional approval after my interview.

Anyone had anything similar? Thanks

I had my interview at US land border crossing (no iris scan otherwise everything was OK). I received my approval email (status change from conditional approval to approval) after 2 weeks of giving the interview! In the meantime I had also called CBP at the enrollment center and they said it usually takes two weeks. But nevertheless I got the approval and card in another week. Just wait I guess?

In case anybody applied recently... I just called the processing centre and was told the wait is currently 6-12 weeks for them to work through your application. Agent said the 20 business days posted online is wrong. Also, the reason I called to see where I'm standing with my application as I was charged over a month ago and didn't receive a confirmation letter in the mail. Again, agent said the system malfunctioned and did not send out a bunch of mail out.

Paper application: sometime in February
Fee charged: March 20th, 2018
Conditionally approved: April 27th, 2018
Interview/Approved: May 17th, 2018
Card Received: May 31st, 2018

Based on my math, my application took 26 business days.

Just curious, why did you decide to do a paper application instead of doing it online (which you need to do anyways once conditionally approved in order to set up an appointment).

Wagering with the system to see if a paper application would be processed faster vs. an online application, assuming that most applications are done online. Bad move.
