Seems like that to me as well.

It would make sense that DHS can run background checks more easily on people who are already in the United States.

I am a U.S. citizen.

This is 66 business days (not counting holidays) which is a little more time than I've seen others with lengthy waits listing. Lots of people who applied after me were conditionally approved well before me. Should I be concerned? I'm just a normal, boring person, but now I'm afraid they've dug up information about the times I visited a farm while traveling and failed to report it (because DHS told me "QUIT REPORTING THIS!").

I found it interesting that a big deal was made about us needing to log in periodically and check our accounts, because we wouldn't be notified about changes in status. So I logged in a bunch. Then I got an email notifying me that my status had changed.

Doesn't that defeat the whole point of having both CBP and CBSA conduct their own background checks as part of normal application processing if CBP is going to do additional background check on Canadians on top of what they normally do for US applications.

I'm at 40 business days currently if I'm counting correctly (application went in Feb. 5), still pending approval (US resident, dual US-Canada citizen). I'm not sure how it works, though not certain how US residents would get faster processing, unless they use a weighted system for running the apps that gives US residents higher priority, so the info. is put in faster.

Would seem to be they are likely checking the same databases, etc. so not sure why residency would make a search take longer (or shorter) depending on residency.

Faster than I expected. But I've only been to 4 other countries in the past 5 years so that might be why it was so quick. Next Seattle appointment is in August, Blaine has availability tomorrow.

Does Anyone know if the Goes website is updated through the day or just once. I check multiple times through the day and was wondering if that is even necessary and maybe once daily would be sufficient. Thanks

Seems to be multiple times from what I experienced. It was still pending for me in the morning and updated a couple hours later. For other family members, it was updated first thing in the morning. Still I wouldn't check too many times as you won't gain much from that, may be at the start of the day then once at night.
