Credit card issuer reimburses every four years, not five. Anyone, not just credit card holder, can use that credit card to apply for Global Entry, NEXUS or TSA PreCheck. Credit card holder will be reimbursed.

Not all credit card issuers reimburse the Trusted Traveler application fee every four years. Among my cards, Chase MileagPlus Explorer gives statement credit for the Global Entry / TSA PreCheck application fee every four years, but Barclays Aviator Silver only every five years.

Thank you for your correction. It is best to check with each credit card issuer to be certain.

My husband and I both applied April 2023.
He was conditionally approved a week or two ago (February 2024). I am still waiting for my application to be processed.

Does anyone know whether there's a window within which you have to attend your interview after conditional approval? I'd like to apply for my wife and kids, but given processing times there is a chance we will be overseas for 6 to 8 months after likely conditional approval. Would it be fine to be approved in, say, November, then not attend the interview until the following July? Or is there a deadline of 90 days after conditional approval or something like that?

Five years.

CBSA News Release
After being conditionally approved for NEXUS, applicants have up to five years to complete both the U.S. and Canadian interviews.
US CBP Knowledge Article
NEXUS and FAST-North must complete the enrollment within 5 years of receiving conditional approval.

Completed interviews at Blaine on Mar 17 and interview took around 10 mins with answering questions and getting 10-printed. Both approved.
Now waiting for the cards to arrive.
