My family of three applied on Jan 21, one conditionally approved on Mar 23 and the rest was conditionally approved on Mar 27.

Applied for my infant on Jan 28th. Conditionally approved yesterday. 9 weeks and 1 day.

Unfortunately the next appointment in Blaine/Vancouver/Richmond is May 9. I have a trip on May 11 with him that I was hoping to have it by, so I will have to monitor for cancellations.

You could always do it at the airport or one of the border crossings that do walkins.

Keep checking for cancellations at all three locations. You are very likely to find something suitable in 72 hours.

Late yesterday evening I managed to move up to April 29... that's 9 business days from our trip, so it might work. But I'll keep checking. There's been a few other openings but nothing that works for me yet.

Any way to tell which locations do walk-ins on standby?

Well, I checked a few more times this morning and managed to get 430 this afternoon. Lol. That was easy. There's not much doubt now that I'll get the baby's card in time. Thanks all!

Time limit for scheduling interviews?

A co-worker recently received conditional approval for their initial Nexus membership. Does he have to visit the TTP site within 30 days and schedule an interview for within one year of his approval date? Or can he visit the site say five months from now and schedule an interview?

My focus is whether the 30 day window from date of conditional approval still applies as it did with the former GOES system.

AFAIK the 30 day window to book an appointment slot after conditional approval still applies.

Booking the appointment within 30 days no longer seems to be required. The interview must be completed within 365 days of the conditional approval:
CBP INFO CENTER - I'm conditionally approved. How do I schedule an interview?

You must complete your interview within 365 days of receiving you conditional approval. If you do not do so, your application will be cancelled and no refunds will be granted. You will need to pay and apply again if you wish to be a member. You may reschedule as often as needed. All scheduling should be done through your TTP account.

Applied first time Jan 31. Anyone from January still waiting?

ABBP Apr 11, 2019 11:41 pm

Just thought I'd share. Got my NEXUS in about three weeks time in YYZ.

Applied: Mar 19
Conditionally approved: Mar 26
Interview: Mar 30 at YYZ (had to really seriously check the website every 5 minutes for cancellations)
Card received: Apr 8

Welcome to FT. Thank you for sharing.

Your one week timeframe to receive conditional approval is extremely rare.

Yes sorry that was my mistake. I got my conditional approval today and it said that I had 365 days to give my interview.

Been in Canada since 2013 but I did leave the country couple of times to go back home to India and also visited Hong Kong for a vacation and transferred in Qatar and UAE (in one of their FAQs they ask you to mention the country even if you didn't pass immigration and just transferred through it). They say it takes 3-5 months to process a Nexus application (maybe more now due to the backlog because of shutdown) but I hope I can get my conditional approval soon.

Here's my timeline:
Applied: Feb 07
Conditionally approved: Apr 11 (I saw it in my account on Apr 12 but the letter is dated Apr 11)
Interview: May 22 at Blaine (Earliest I could find as of posting this but i will keep trying as others have suggested to get a earlier date)
Update 1: Got one at May 1
Update 2: Found one for Apr 23
Update 3: Found one for today (Apr 15) at YVR :)
Update 4: Interview done and approved! Very pleasant experience. Both the Canadian and US border officers were really nice! Now waiting for the card to arrive in mail.
Update 5: Received my card in mail (25 Apr) and I already activated it. Gonna try it out tomorrow! :)
