I basically just need to watch the website like a hawk to get an appointment at YYZ? I'm having no luck at all.

Do not give up. Keep trying, cancellations do occur. Best time to check is when that center is open. Good luck.

I'll need all the luck I can get. I've been trying to get an appointment for weeks now. I'm debating just driving to Ottawa and making a trip out of it

That is great news. If you need something sooner, keep doing a new search. Both Simchi and deepax90 were able to find an appointment the next day.

Wife was pre approved but I’m still waiting ?

Wife and I applied for Nexus membership on January 9. She got pre approved 2 weeks later. I called the 1-800 number on Feb 27 to check the status of my application, and the lady on the phone said the Canadian side cleared me on Feb 2 and now the US side was doing their checks. Question: before becoming a Canadian citizen , I applied for an US visa which was not granted .. will this affect my nexus application ?

Can you tell us why it wasn't granted and how long ago that was?

It was denied under section 221(g), which means I had missing documentation. This actually does not mean that my application was totally rejected, since I had the chance to provide the consulste with the missing documents before a final decision was taken taken. I didn’t have the time to come back with the missing documents within the 6 months period. It was 9 yers ago.

Question

My fiance and I applied with 2 days off each other back in January. He had been approved for almost 3 weeks now and mine is still showing pending approval. We are going on our honeymoon in July which was the whole reason why we even did this. What would be taking mine so long to get approved and his to be approved right away.

There are many factors which can affect the time that it takes to receive conditional approval including, but not limited to, common vs. uncommon name, residence and employment history.

Applied for my then 2 month old daughter on 12/14. Seems like it would be an easy approval, but application is still pending review. Myself and the rest of my family have all been conditionally approved since October and are just waiting for our daughter before scheduling interviews.

Update: Conditionally approved 3/5

Thanks for the tip!

I had one scheduled for Landsdowne today, but glad that I didn't go. Wasn't urgent for me and didn't make sense spending 7 hours and $60 on gas on a $50 nexus card.

Cancelled that one, kept refreshing and was able to snag one for Pearson for tomorrow. :)

Received the card today (3/5).

Applied 2/14 for newborn infant
Conditionally Approved 2/20
Interview Scheduled 2/21 for 3/10 (When I checked 2/20 there was next-day appt available at YYZ, but we wanted weekends)
Interview 3/10
Approved 3/10
Card Received 3/18

I think the fastest I could have gotten it in hand would be 3/5, if I had taken deepax90's appointment on 2/22 :)
So it's possible to go from application to NEXUS card in hand in 2.5 weeks if you are good with timing.

Did anyone recently receive conditional approval? If so, can you please share timeline. Canadian citizen applied Jan 29 and awaiting conditional approval.

I applied first week of Feb and haven't heard anything back yet. Indian citizen with Canadian PR and valid US B1/B2 visa. Been in Canada since 2013 but I did leave the country couple of times to go back home to India and also visited Hong Kong for a vacation and transferred in Qatar and UAE (in one of their FAQs they ask you to mention the country even if you didn't pass immigration and just transferred through it). They say it takes 3-5 months to process a Nexus application (maybe more now due to the backlog because of shutdown) but I hope I can get my conditional approval soon.
