Side by side if possible, eg both at 215pm. If that's not possible, and if one can get at 215 and other at 400pm, then both go in at 215 and inform them you are together. They'll do the second part (explaining the benefits and responsibilities of NEXUS) together.

Good morning all,
Curious if anyone else is seeing delays? I applied for nexus renewal for my minor child on May 16, and the status is still at Pending Review. Almost 2 months! I had renewed my own last year in Dec and was approved in just over a month. Hope they will review it soon... |

This thread was very helpful as we waited for our applications to be processed so I thought I would share our experience.
Initial online application: May 4, 2018 (2 adults and 2 children) Conditional Approval: My wife received hers June 20, 2 kids on June 21 and me on June 22. (this was also the order which we applied) Approximately 32 to 34 business days. Interview: July 17 for all 4 of us (YEG). This process took approximately 20 minutes for all 4 of us plus about 15 minutes waiting time. Approved for Nexus: July 17 (received email upon leaving interview as other members have experienced) Cards Received: July 31, 2018 Overall the process was very smooth and just under 3 months from application to cards in hand. |
Initial Application: June 14
Conditional Approval: July 31 Interview: August 7, Port Huron Card Received: August 13 The application took around 31 business days for processing, not including Canada Day or July 4. Approval was received when I got back in my car. There is an iris camera at the CBSA in Sarnia if you want to add an iris scan. Having the card itself wasn't necessary, just the Pass number. This was a pleasant surprise as I was figuring I'd have to wait until I had the card in my possession and then head down to Windsor . |
Initial Application (by mail): May 23rd. (Would have arrived 1-2 business days after)
$50 fee on credit card statement: July 26th. |
Got the conditional approval for my infant daughter several hours after leaving YYZ last time (shocker!).
Initial Application: June 7 Conditional Approval: July 31 Interview: Scheduled for Sept. 29 (will not be back in YYZ until then - believe there were interview slots in late August available) |
I renewed my Global Entry and was approved in about a week. Then applied for Nexus (didn't know I would need it initially) and I am still waiting after about 60 days for approval.
Why so long? Thanks. |

I applied 6/19/18.
I am presently still pending as of 8/19, today.... This makes it TWO MONTHS. |
I applied for myself and my wife (NEXUS) on June 1st 2018.
My application got approved today (August 20th 2018), my wife's application (which was submitted a few hours after mine on same date) is still "Pending review". I don't know if the local office matters for anything but my local office is Detroit. |
I applied for Nexus on June 26, 2018 my application is still Pending Review. Hoping to hear something soon.
