I was trying to quote you and my original text that you quoted, I thought clicking on 'multi quote' would do it... but it does not appear to be so.

Anyway, to answer your question, yes I checked today, and still pending review.

I know their website says you gotta check the website for approval as it's the only form of news (as in they won't reach out to you via email or any reaching out to you at all to notify you of any update) but is it okay to call them? I saw a post on the thread with their phone number.

Travel often? Apply for NEXUS - Official Web site

Applied 6/19/18 and today is 9/01/18 still awaiting approval.

Are they taking it extra slow on American citizens? Are Canadians having less of a wait thanks to Trump? I just don't know right now.

I've got Global Entry, you'd think it makes the approval easier for them.

Although they tell you to check the website for changes, they will send you an email that there has been a change and you should check the website. That's how I found out I was conditionally approved for Nexus. I also had Global Entry but it still took nearly 10 weeks for Nexus conditional approval.

We have a thread specifically discussing Global Entry members applying for NEXUS:

Timeline:
Applied online: 7/7/18
Conditional Approval: 8/28/18
Interview: 8/29/18 (Niagara Falls/Whirlpool)
Approval email: 9/3/18
Awaiting cards

I applied for both myself and my 2 yr old son, my son was approved same day of the interview before we got to the car, my approval came the following week.

I'm a Canadian citizen having applied end of June and still waiting on conditional approval.. They're not being extra slow on American citizens only. When I called last week, they said the Canadian side had gone through; it's the American side that was still going through the vetting process (even though I have my valid green card..). So they're not just being extra slow on American citizens; the same seems to go for Canadian citizens having legal residency status in the US.

What I don't understand is how someone in one of the later posts (right before mine) applied July and got conditionally approved a month later is it because they have a child?? I'm curious about the process here.

It would be interesting to see if there was any difference in wait between people who applied with their families (2 or more) versus single applicants. I would have thought it would have been about the same either way. July 7-Aug 28th is more like 2 months than a month however, it seemed like forever either way. The main reason I wanted it was for the summer and I can't wait hours at the border crossing with a 2 year old. I wish I'd had known about the expedited processing times like when the World Juniors Event was going on here they were doing expedited applications, back in early 2018 end of 2017. Would have been nice to have it prior to the summer.

Applied online on July 21
Got conditionally approved on Sept 5
Scheduled my appointment for Sept 8

Update: went for my interview today, was in and out in about 15 minutes, very easy!

Something weird happened on the way back though: once I pulled up to the Canadian border, I was about to hand the agent my PR Card and she said "don't worry, I already have your information here". That was pretty weird... I was able to cross the Canadian border without showing my PR Card or any other documents to her... has anyone experienced something similar?

Update 2: I guess because I was holding my PR card near my steering wheel (can't post link, but google CBSA RFID) That's pretty neat!

Canadian here. Applied for NEXUS July 8th, as of today (September 12th) still pending review. I'm getting a little worried even though I really shouldn't have anything to worry about.

New data point..

Applied for my newborn son on August 7th in the morning and was conditionally approved today on September 21st. 33 business days if you exclude any holidays. I guess 32 if you count labor day.

Originally got an interview on October 25th, but I refreshed for a few minutes and snagged one on Monday the 24th (3 days from now)!
