There really is no rhyme or reason to it. My 4 month old son has been waiting 3 months. There's literally nothing for them to research. A 4 month old American baby with parents who have been here for generations.

Just applied for my 18mo old. Hope it isn't as long as my other kids who took nearly a year to conditionally approve....

Well FINALLY my wife was conditionally approved after waiting 6 1/2 months. It is highly notable that the timing of the approval probably coincided almost exactly with an airline submitting her APIS information for a flight returning to the US.

Funny enough I was also approved overnight. 6.5 months of waiting finally finished

Guess who has two thumbs and still hasn't been approved? haha.... However I'm only at 3 months, 3 weeks and 2 days... not that I'm counting.

Interview: xx/xx/xx
Final Approval: xx/xx/xx

WIFE

CA: 05/22/22 (2 days)

Final Approval: 09/20/22 (123 days)

Keeping that hope alive that I'll log in and see that green check mark beside my Conditional Approval. Once that happens then I'll shoot for getting my wife's interview a little closer (IF mine is even approved by then)
Wife's journey is over. Mine has still yet to begin.

lol. Well, I am going to Vegas next week. As far as the appointment is concerned, I have to think the appointment scanner service which had a one time fee of $29. Completely worth it.

Almost can't believe I'm making this post, but I have just been conditionally approved. Scheduled for the first available appointment at home for now... in April 2023 😂 Will hopefully be able to snag one before the holidays so I can make use of it all when returning home after Christmas.

Some comments: LPR, EU citizen, briefly overstayed ESTA before filing for immigration benefits due to marriage (all disclosed within the app of course), somewhat spicy travel history. Not all is lost I guess.

Applied: 04/27/22
CA: 09/29/22 (155 days)
Interview: 04/13/23
Final Approval: N/A

Well, after stalking an appointment tracker for the past week and rescheduling to earlier available dates 7 or 8 times I managed to snag an appointment for this morning two days ago. The whole thing was just a 5 minute conversation of some of the things on my application (the overstay in particular). No questions on my past travels, which I found surprising honestly. Couple hours later my status changed to approved.

Good luck anyone else still waiting!

Here is the application information for my son, who is 12:

Applied: 10/10/2022
CA: 10/12/2022
Interview: TBD
Final Approval: TBD

We are lucky to live in Minnesota so can easily drive to one of the border crossings to do the interview so I am not too worried about scheduling. When we get some free time and feel like making the 11+ hour round trip drive, I'll schedule it. In the meantime, I will keep checking to see if any appointments open up at MSP and worst case scenario is that he can do his interview on arrival when we come back into the country after spring break.
