There definitely has been some minor adjustment to the World Traveler Plus product in 2014. First, there is now a pre-takeoff beverage service of a choice of sparkling wine or water served in real wine glasses. Second, assorted warmed breads are now offered during the main meal service. There are actually at least four kinds of rolls – sort of like Club World. Finally there is now a ice cream bar service mid-flight. However, the A380 galley is all the way in the back and is curtained up all the time. There is no longer a space to place those assorted snack boxes. So the F/As came through with the snack basket about three hour prior to arrival. The collection is the same as before – some crisps, some Ritz crackers, chocolate and candies. The pre-arrival afternoon tea (applied to World Traveler too) now features a packaged scone prepared by London Heathrow Bakery with clotted cream and strawberry preserve – not too bad and I like it better than the old chocolate bar. |
