Love is definitely in the air here in the lounge this afternoon, there’s also is also a couple celebrating their engagement with a bottle of the Rose champagne :)

Fried chicken schnitzel sliders which were really tasty, and a side order of fries which are the best fries I’ve had in a very very long time! Crunch outside, fluffy inside, salty, and not a hint of oil/grease, absolutely outstanding! Sometimes it’s the simplest things that make the biggest impression

I have just ordered my desert, Affogato, shot of baileys, extra pizzelle as “you can never have too many cookies”. When the waitress had left I heard “sir, sir!” and looked up. There was a young lady at the table diagonally who said that she wanted to be like me when she grew up :D Apparently she’d been watching my interactions with the staff and the ‘never too many cookies’ tipped her over the edge :D
It’s nice to know I’m leading a new generation towards hedonism ;) |
I thought I would pop next door to the Soho lounge. It’s a really nice space with great views outside and lots of light, actually nicer than the Chelsea lounge. The food options were really good, chilli tofu, shrimp, or chicken. I had a small taste of all three and would happily eat any one of them again.
The 90% photo upload curse is back so photos to follow If I ‘only’ had access to Soho I’d be more than happy based upon that fleeting visit. |

45 minutes early at the gate and boarding was well underway already. Seat 3A at the front of business class so a definite turn left :D
I’m still suffering the photo upload curse so there will be many pics and descriptions to follow tomorrow but for now I shall simply wave goodbye to NYC and look forward to the flight ahead. Next Stop: LHR in around seven hours time, arriving around 6am local. |
