Tomorrow I'm following you to JFK. Be aware. 😁

Time to board

Acres of leg room on this 11 year old Embraer. The cabin fittings are so heavy and massive that it feels much older.

Pre-departure beverage has been offered and my requested coffee seems to have thrown the crew member but she has toddled off to brew it with a ‘you’ll need to drink it quick’ comment.

Enjoy! Well, enjoy as much as anyone can enjoy JFK :D

Fifteen minutes to departure and an announcement that the plane is out of roll aboard space. This has caused huge consternation for those still boarding and negotiations are underway!

Coffee has arrived, a request for sugar and creamer was met with an eye roll. I can see that this crew skipped the charm school part of their training :)

Mr 1F still had a rucksack at his feet and was given the instruction to put it in the bins. Row 1 bins were full so he turned to look at the crew…. “Keep looking”! Charming.

Looks like you've set yourself up for a good 4hrs in the Chelsea Lounge. Which BA service are you on?

My impression is that most of the CVG infrastructure that supported the DL hub has since been torn down... I believe most of the airport was refreshed/renovated in the late 2010's.

This morning we pushed back on time and it was a relatively short and slow taxi before we were off the ground a few minutes after 11am.

First order of business for the crew was to walk through the section writing down drinks orders, and then the snack basket was deployed which had a selection of unappealing (to me) choices. The drink followed shortly thereafter.

I’ve nothing else to add to this flight, it was very much a long distance bus journey.

Thankfully we have landed nice and early at JFK and are now trundling to our gate.

Indeed I have, and just arrived. I’m on AA100 in business class for the return, departing 18:20. I’ve never had the pleasure of flying transatlantic with AA in business until today.

Our gate was exactly opposite the tunnels to Gates 1-20 so it has been a short walk to the Chelsea Lounge. You’ve seen all the photos from earlier this week so nothing new. It’s incredibly quiet again, just me and a lady sitting at the bar.

A bunch of us Flyertalkers go to LEX every April and October for horses and bourbon and points/miles talk. Earlier this month there were 16 of us. That was our 25th time.

Check Community Buzz (link in my signature for this April) for details for October, coming soon. Join us!

By pure coincidence I met another of your regular attendees in the CCR earlier this month. No vacation left to make it this year but I think April might be on the cards :)

Compared to BA - food crap, bed slightly more comfortable. Not much between them otherwise.

oh that sounds cool. Very literal community buzz.

So glad you’re opting for a something-fashioned as a goodbye :). Sadly no cocktails of the sort on AA, I believe.

Much giggling in the back of the dining area as the ladies set up for a marriage proposal.

I hope the proposed to says yes otherwise the ladies are going to be more disappointed than the proposer I think
