I secretly get excited when one of my flights is cancelled due to mechanical. I enjoy the free hotel, and night in a city I didn't plan to be in. I've met some amazing people at these hotel bars, and have had some amazing adventures going out drinking with some perfect strangers in strange lands!
This depends on which city-the same cities can get boring after a while.
(YYZ, SFO, LAX, DFW, NYC, I have visited multiple times over several years...)

I guess I have a confession. I really should apply for Nexus, but I resort to going through painful security lines every time I enter into the airport. My entire family with two small kids in tow. We block lines for 5 minutes as we disembark every item onto the scanner belt. We use minimum 10 trays often with one item on each tray. Then we pack the stroller and put that on the belt as well.
It takes us a long time to gather our belongings. At the end of the journey, there are travellers gritting their teeth waiting for sweet ol us to finish. Planes are delayed, and people's schedule worsens, whoever chooses to be behind us in Security. Merry Christmas.

Secrets... someone I knew has posted some soft porn videos of me online. I have to admit god I looked good in those days (in my 30's!) lol
Luckily there are five hundred billion plus porn links/vids so nobody I know would find mine. I'm not ashamed. I'd just be a touch embarrassed!

I think I saw two of them yesterday booking fishing trip. Both had S West cards and talked about points.

At least if it ever becomes viral, you know that thousands of people want to see you.
(I am not asking for the link and am not saying you are unattractive if people do not watch it.)

This is going to repeat some of you but...
I like scheduling long (4-6+ hour) layovers so I can duck out visit a new city, a favorite city, or get together with a friend for a meal or a cup of coffee. Can't do it when traveling with my family but if I'm on my own and I have the time, I'll go out of my way to schedule a side trip like this.
Despite having FT luggage tags for nearly a decade, I have yet to encounter them in the wild on anyone else's luggage, nor has a stranger spotted mine.
The last time I flew in F was on my honeymoon, over 6 years ago. I posted a TR about it.
Despite all my travel experience, it still takes me longer than I'd like to get my things through security.
I take pictures out of the window of aircraft on takeoff and approach even though we're supposed to turn off our electronics.
I have never attended an FT DO.
I could spend hours at a major international airport (JFK, NRT) just watching flight ops.
My background music when working is one of the many ATC feeds at LiveATC.net.
I have not given as much to FT as FT has given to me. But I'm working on that.

I wait until T-16 to board domestic flights when I have no rollaboard, even if every other pax has long boarded and the standby list is empty, because I can.
I've never been through a WBI/AIT machine in any airport despite having flown hundreds of segments since they were deployed.
Like CruisingAltitude47, I often lie about how often I do MRs if the person with whom I'm discussing flying likely won't "get it"
I often watch R-rated or unrated movies on my laptop during long flights, even though many such flicks contain scenes depicting graphic violence and/or nudity
During severe turbulence, if I'm in a window seat, I open the window all the way and enjoy watching the wing flex. I like turbulence.
I look down on infrequent flyers ("kettles") but also take pleasure in helping them sort out problems during IRROPS if I'm not otherwise occupied
I never turn off my electronic devices or put them in airplane mode unless I feel like doing so to conserve battery life.
During the summer, I like to fly wearing shorts and sandals (as a male), even though I know doing so irks many other flyers
During daytime flights, I often wear my very big, very dark sunglasses the entire flight, never making "true" eye contact with anyone. Not that I'm against eye contact; my eyes are just really sensitive to sunlight and I love looking out the window.
I always pay for Wi-Fi and do unreasonable stuff once connected, like run speed tests and try to connect to VPNs so I can stream YouTube videos, just because I enjoy breaking the rules.

Back when UA had packaged snacks at its Red Carpet Club, I flew back into my home airport of PHX and went into the Club only so I could grab 5 granola bars and use them as breakfast that week

Confession: A few of us in Calgary have been talking about a Do for awhile. Discussions ended, but we were thinking of touring the new international wing of Calgary international Airport. We'll get a Do here eventually I'm sure.

Scheduled to fly BWI-RDU last night. When checking in at the kiosk, Delta offered to move me for free to BWI-CVG-RDU. But I had a lot of homework and my ride didn't want to come to RDU two hours later so I turned down extra miles/segments
