So here we go one more time.....and as always, please limit your answers to two or three quiz items so that all may participate.
The following two quiz items both have a time line of 1965:
13) At this time, how many departures a day were being operated by United from Atlanta on a weekday basis? ANSWERED
19) You are in Newark and the question is.....why? Just kidding! However, you do need to travel to Corpus Christi and there is a very good reason: it concerns your good friend and sailing buddy from Santa Barbara who has just purchased a catamaran in Corpus and will be sailing it back to southern California via the Panama Canal. Of course, you're on board with this adventure! You quickly discover there is a direct flight leaving in the morning from EWR to CRP which makes five intermediate stops en route and first class is available. Name the airline you'll be flying on in first as well as the aircraft and all five stops in the order in which they were made. ANSWERED
Just a few more quiz items remain unanswered in this latest set....

This brings us to yet another bonus quiz item.....
33) Two airlines were operating nonstop jet service from Atlanta to St. Thomas at this time in 1994 while only one airline was operating nonstop jet service from St. Croix (STX) to St. Thomas. Identify these air carriers and the aircraft operated on these flights.

This brings us back to United's Boeing 727 service into Atlanta in 1965 and a bonus quiz item:
31) All United 727 service into ATL at this time was being flown with B727-100 equipment (the 72S had not yet entered service, of course). And there was something quite unique about all of these specific UA 727 flights into Atlanta. What was this unique feature that was not shared with other 727 aircraft in the UA fleet that were not serving ATL at this time?

To my recollection the only other CV440 operator at this time in the southeast was Eastern, so let's try this routing:
How about a Viscount, stopping at Tri-Cities (Bristol/Kingsport/Johnson City; TRI) after ATL ... if that's the wrong equipment, I'll have to speculate that this was a DC-6 since I don't think UA ever graced CRW with their Caravelles

Flight Origination: Atlanta (ATL)
Stops:
1. Macon (MCN)
2._______________
3. Jacksonville (JAX)
4. ______________
5. ______________
6. Vero Beach (VRB)
Final Destination: Miami (MIA)
18) United was operating a Douglas DC-6 in an all coach configuration on this route. However, this flight did not stop at Tri-Cities Airport (TRI) en route. So here's a hint: the other stop was in Florida between PBI and ATL.
And here's a bonus quiz item....
34) In 1994, what airline was operating direct, one stop jet service six days a week from Daytona Beach (DAB) to Tri-Cities Airport (TRI) in Tennessee? Also identify the equipment and the intermediate stop. And note the aircraft type was not a regional jet. ANSWERED

And here is my final bonus quiz item....
35) In 1983, there was no nonstop service between Washington National (DCA) and Los Angeles (LAX) as such flights had yet to be permitted. Thus, a number of airlines over the years operated direct, one stop service between DCA and LAX. And in 1983, one air carrier in particular was operating two round trip flights on a direct, one stop basis between Washington National and Los Angeles. The flights were operated daily and these eastbound and westbound flights made the same intermediate stop in both directions. Westbound, flights departed DCA at 7:00am and 5:40pm. Eastbound, flights departed LAX at 7:55am and 12:10pm. The same aircraft type was operated on all four flights.
Identify the airline that operated these flights as well as the intermediate stop and the equipment. ANSWERED

2) Name the airline that used this marketing statement: "Isle seats to Maui."
The obvious choice (to me, at least) would seem to be a local service carrier such as Aloha or Hawaiian but then why promote aisles for a twenty-minute flight? On the other hand, a wide-bodied aircraft from the mainland would offer plenty of aisle seats... Let's go with United's DC-10 service. If not that, I'll just move on down the line with a number of other large tri-jet operators!

Isle seats to Maui.
Who says you can't get there from here. Now Western flies direct to Maui. Starting in Salt Lake our daily service goes through Los Angeles nonstop to Maui.
And on board you'll see Maui's only active volcano. Bubbling over with delicious Volcano Punch.
Western to Maui.
Because your vacation should start when you get on the plane. Not when you get off.
Of course, the ad then concluded with this tag line....
Western Airlines
The only way to fly.
