I am simply searching, for example, HKG-LAX, return. I try to put in HKG-HKG but this gives error.

Used to be so much easier....

I really find the KVS Tool really intriguing and I have tried to use it in the past (years ago) and remember having found it really intimidating at times and not having understood at least a quarter of the things it wanted from me or could have given me :-)

I'm now trying to get back in the game a bit, so to speak, I'm flying a lot again, and I wondered: Is there some kind of comprehensive online training course out there, you know, with instruction videos, how-to's, tasks to complete, maybe some one-on-one tutoring if required?

I'm thinking, just like you can do those IT trainings, like "Linux for Beginners" or "Poiwershell for Dummies", where you even learn a few tricks you didn't know about if you are a frequent user - just a generally comprehensive training with cases and scenarios that helps you get proficient fast would be really good.
Ideally, it would start at the lowest level for beginners but advance quickly and allow you to get proficient fast without having to find out everything for yourself (which is fun too, but takes ages)...

Does this exist? I for one would be really interested, I'm sure others would, too.

Thanks for the suggestion.

While there are currently no such training courses, you may find the following resources useful:

Thinking about using this tool but can somebody confirm does it contain data about flight loads.

ie - I want to book a flgiht from DUB-MAD in July with Aer Lingus and would be intrested to see the current loads booked for that day, is it possible to do this.

No it won't. It will only tell you that there are at least 9 seats available.

I just downloaded this tool and paid for the annual membership. How can it tell me what options there are to fly direct from Los Angeles to Taipei on China Airlines business class using Delta miles?

I am very disappointed with the tool. I use it on three different PCs (2 are stationary in different continents, the third is my notebook).

A hard disk in one of the PCs started to die, so i replaced it. All the other licenses still worked, but the KVS tool asked for a new key. Seems they are not able to recognize smaller changes as everybody else. Asked for a new key. Took a while because KVS wanted to know the codes of the other systems (no clue, they were in a different continent).
Finally got a new key.

Now the second system stopped working, seems they invalidated that key in the process. A few more emails (and days) to get this working.

Today i tried my notebook. Guess what: Invalid key again.

I asked to refund the rest of my membership (which they did not even bother to answer).

My next step: sign up for a cloud based solution. Looks like local applications are a thing of the past, especially in combination with a paranoic license management.
