I am trying to look at award availability (Awards/StarAlliance) DAY-> BKK.
*A Star Alliance (All 27 Member Airlines).

I am ending up with "No Results/Route Too Complex".

Searching through this thread, there was discussion about getting this message when there was no return service / limited scheduled day service, etc. , but I don't think any of this applies on this route.

I have used KVS to look for availability in the past for this route, and don't recall any problems like this.

Tried changing dates - same result
Tried limiting to just one airline - same result

Anyone have advice?

As mentioned at http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Method_SNT_Awards_StarAlliance, the Automatic Route Construction capabilities of the [Awards/StarAlliance] Method are limited to 2 segments (and DAY-BKK requires at least 3).

Therefore, you either need to split your search into 2 'pieces', or use the new [Awards/AC-StarAlliance] Method, available as a Beta: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/star-...-alliance.html

Thanks. I will give it a shot tonight.

Are there any issues with availability due to married segments (...I think this is what it is called) ? I recall trying to search out upgrades by legs/segments, but the availability changed depending on the particular route/segment combinations. Not sure if awards work the same way.

Segment Marriage Logic does not, generally, apply to Award Availability.

Anybody with having issues with Sabre: Availability/GTC?

Searching ORD-DFW AA and UA and getting nothing back. It seems to go thru the search process, but no fights returned. Same thing for SFO-JFK.

As mentioned in the KVS Tool User Guide, the [Awards/OneWorld] Method shows Availability Per Trip: http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Method_Amadeus_Awards_OneWorld, so it applies to all segments, but may include mixed cabins.

We will soon be launching a Beta, which will provide a per-segment Availability option for the [Awards/OneWorld] Method (as shown below).

In the meantime, you would need to check premium cabin Availability for each segment separately, or use the [Awards/BA-OneWorld] Method, which always shows Award Availability on a per-segment basis.

I am constantly getting this error for the last few hours - (KVS was working earlier today):

Online Authentication Error:
Error Requesting Data:

Error 12031: Connection Reset
....
Error 35756: Unable to Complete Request
Discconnected.

My internet connection etc seem to be ok.

After that Error the Registration window comes up. When i click on register i see the above error again.

Anybody knows what is wrong? Thank you!

Today, when searching the KrisCom: Awards/SQ, I get the following:

Data Source Error [R-1]:
"Book a trip"

I searched the KVS website but could not find this error message.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Engine Error - Awards AC-Star
 
Hi,

I keep getting an "Engine Error" when searching for an award ticket from ZRH to NBO.

In the To list there are two NBO:
  • NBO Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta Intl KE [HKJK]
  • NBO Nairobi Metro / Jomo Kenyatta Intl KE = NBO WIL [HKNA]

Both give an error when searching with "ITA Awards AC-Star". It works correctly with "SNT: Awards Star".

I get the same error when searching for an award to DAR.

Any idea on how to get it working?

I'm wondering why the KVS Tool Mobile (Android) application cannot find LH765 / 08July for BOM-MUC when these city pairs are chosen - with both *A and also with LH put in as the airline...

It routes on BA and 9W for one sector and then on other airlines for the rest! :confused:

LH 765 departs very early/late (01:10), so you need to specify a departure Time (00:00) to see it.
