Yes, SQ has been down for some time now so I'm not sure if I will renew my subscription after this time as there is too much down time for SQ vs the $$ paid. I wrote to KVS about the SQ problem via their site but there was no response. Perhaps they are on vacation?

If I may kindly make a small suggestion? When other online travel tools (ie. TripIt Pro, etc), come across functionality issues like this and someone writes to their website form about that problem, often they extend the membership as goodwill. So, might be something to think about for the duration that the SQ function is down as some members (like myself, a Diamond member) only purchase KVS to use the SQ function and we really appreciate being appreciated, just as I'm sure you do also. Just my two cents anyway in the nicest possible way ))

Keep in mind that in the past when some data sources disappeared and reappeared at higher levels those who had paid for the lower levels were asked by KVS to re-up at the higher rate to get the same thing. A great deal of the data KVS provides is data that KVS is N:eek:T authorized by data owners to provide. Any data provided is subject to going away at any time -- when the legitimate owners figure out what is going on and cut KVS off. Caveat emptor!

Hi,

Is it only possible to search actual availability on the mobile app? Can i not see availability buckets in the main tool?

I had KVStool a few years ago and seem to remember searching on the main tool.

Am i doing something wrong?

Hi arir,

No, you're not doing anything wrong. That feature hasn't been available in the main tool for quite some time (perhaps years). It's only available on the mobile tool.

KVS Tool is not what it used to be... Well it depends on point of view... It is still money making business that steals someone else's data, but at least in one area does it little bit more properly. And that's the reason why availability works only on mobile version and you are limited to certain number of searches per month.

It has been there in the past, but all the fraudulent ways of getting to getthere.com (lorraine travel, marathon corporate and few others) that KVS was using have been closed...

UA does not publish its R-Class Availability, so it is not searchable via any tool or service.

For a list of supported Award/Upgrade Booking Classes, please consult the UA section of the KVS Tool User Guide.

Been trying to look at the seat map in econ for the past 2 months but keep on coming up "Seat map is unavailable or closed". Anyone know why?

I was able to do it for a similar TG flight back in Oct.

I would say its more unusual that you were able to do it previously.
TG seatmaps are typically unavailable for domestic flights...on HKT flights I would say the chance of aircraft swap is very high so they never allow management of seat allocation online etc.
So this isn't a KVS issue...it's a TG 'thing'.

There's a few quirks I've noticed on the KVS timetable search where some results aren't showing through. Any ideas on what's happening?

1. Some legal connections don't seem to show up. I've come across this a few times E.g. LAD-DXB-LIS on EK, DLA-ADD-FRA on ET, MAO-PTY-POS on CM etc.
Could it be that these are all connections that significantly exceed the direct routing mileage and are therefore edited out of the results? Even if the airlines themselves publish and sell fares on these markets?

2. Some airports seem to not be available at all. DSS for instance, the new airport in Dakar yields a "the requested origin is invalid" result even if most (all?) airlines have moved operations from DKR

All you get is what you pay for. If you pay thieves, all you get is stolen goods. And that's exactly what you're doing and getting from KVS... Honestly, if I was you, I would be happy that I was getting at least something :D Potentially, KVS could disappear completely any moment and you would not have any recourse... It has been well known for years that the company is fraudulent and uses fraudulent if not illegal methods. I cannot believe that people are still paying money to this scum...
