We have re-sent your Registration Credentials using a different e-mail server, just in case.

As always, if you do not receive your Temporary Registration Credentials (which are issued automatically via e-mail) within an hour, please let us know via the Contact Form on the KVS Tool Website and we will re-send them right away, as we do not always monitor this thread.

I got code also. but I get an error on searching and tried a bunch of things and cannot search for DL awards. I have reported the bug.

What a surprise? NOT! KVS is written in archaic version of Visual Basic using even more archaic Internet Explorer based DLL libraries that Microsoft deprecated lightning years ago. They finally completely nuked it (thank God) on W11.
Of course, it is possible to get it working on W11 by carefully installing all necessary libraries, but I expect KVS taking ages to deliver new installer that will be capable of doing it transparently on W11. Untill then, good luck hacking it yourselves... 😁😂🤣

I too seem to be another long time customer who can't get my registration code. Sad, really, as I have been a customer since 2007, dutifully renewing my diamond subscription every year. Don't know what's happened with the business because this is the first year I had any issues. I've tried again and if I don't receive anything I guess I'll do a CC charge-back.

I made the payment for another year of diamond membership on May 14. I never received the permanent code and I sent a reminder several days ago. Still no reply. I just sent another reminder.

I received the permanent code today. So it took 26 days and 2 reminder e-mails.

If I was, then in order to make a serious point: after all these years, no one who reads FT should be surprised when the 'tool' doesn't do what they expect it to (in this case, apparently, not doing anything at all beyond accepting payment).

To clarify, your Temporary Credentials were issued automatically on 14 May 2022 and were valid until 15 Jun 2022 -- perhaps that e-mail went to Spam/Junk.

Your Permanent Credentials were issued on 31 May 2022.

I paid for a Diamond subscription on June 9th but have not received temporary or permanent codes. I have emailed as well but no response.

it’s not an email issue as I received all the payment receipts etc. I’m also a long time kvstool subscriber and have been using the same email address. There’s nothing in my junk folder.

please help

Similar issue for me. I signed up for diamond on a new account a few days ago and haven't had anything back despite sending a follow up request. I've checked spam, etc.

Finding that the 'Tool' does not do everything you might expect it to is a known issue. Paying for the KVS 'Tool' but not getting access to it is also a known issue. Please consider this before parting with your dosh or posting here.

+1 for not getting a registration code after paying for access. Nothing in my spam folder. Silence from the KVS team after multiple emails and support requests.

KVS team - I’ve been seeing many comments about gmail/outlook/hotmail/yahoo/etc. accounts being a problem.

It’s 2022. 99% of the population uses one of these email services, and no other website/app/service on the internet seems to have issues here. Whoever is handling your email delivery is either stuck 20 years in the past or something isn’t configured correctly.

And if you’re doing it in-house, seriously, just use SendGrid like every other app developer on the planet.

I purchased a license on July 22 and never got a temp key. I applied for a permanent key and haven't received that either. I had previously used the same email address in 2019 and I got the temp and permanent key just fine. I used the contact form on the website and after hearing no response, sent a pm to KVS on FlyerTalk. I still haven't heard anything back. I just checked my spam folder again to be sure and there's nothing. It's too late at this point, I had to search for and book the flight I wanted manually.


Please consider this before parting with your dosh or posting here.
100%. I didn't bother checking FlyerTalk because I had previously used KVS Tool in the past and had no issues with getting a key.
I'm posting here just to add another voice to the chorus saying Do not buy KVS Tool. You won't get a key in any reasonable amount of time.

In case this is helpful for anyone who paid via PayPal, I submitted a PayPal dispute and then a day or so later my key magically appeared.

Unfortunately I made a contribution as well without having read this thread first, thinking that this is a well-known tool.

Received emails for my invoice and successful contribution, but nothing- no temporary or permanent key. Junk folders of course have nothing either.

That someone received his key only after filing a dispute, seems to suggest that intentionality is involved in the missing keys and radio silence. That or they are prioritizing members who withdraw their payment. But it really doesn't take much effort to properly generate keys. So either way it looks suspect on their part.

Will be issuing a chargeback on my CC, suggest y'all do the same.

So against all recommendations, I had KVS Tool and elected to purchase it again. So far so good. I got my temp code in about 30 seconds and so far, after I installed the latest version 10.4.1 Diamond it seems to be working well. I did have to put all my One World info into it, i.e. BA FF and Qanta FF. So far so good.

I have expert flier, but was unable to find a way to search for awards for more than 3 days at a time. With KVS, I can search 31 days from a specific date i.e. not today like expert flier.

Anyhow just wanted to give my $0.02 and yes, I paid the $75 full amount, no discounts and no affiliation.

I was wondering how one would search a date range like you stated?

Edited to Add: Got it - apparently a "new" feature:

Power Search (Multi-Day Availability Search) http://www.kvstool.com/Images/NewM.gif
  • Power Search can be used to locate Award or Upgrade Availability across a multiple date range.
  • The maximum date range is 31-210 days (depending on the Weekday(s) selected) for all Methods.
  • To use Power Search:
    • Goto the [Filter] Tab and set your Filter criteria (for example, "Availability Required in Classes FS/CS").
    • Return to the [Awards/Upgrades] Tab.
    • Click the [Power Search] (http://www.kvstool.com/Images/PowerSearch48.gif) button, select the desired date range, and click the [Start] button.
    • The Tool will initiate a series of searches across the requested date range until at least one flight matching the [Filter] criteria is found.
    • To continue the Power Search after it has been completed, click the [Power Search] button again.
    • To terminate the Power Search at any time, click the red [Stop] button (or press <Esc>;).
  • Note: Power Search is designed to locate hard-to-find Award Availability matching specific criteria across a long date range, not provide long lists of easy-to-find awards (like an Award Calendar).

    Edited to Add 2: The CowTool AC award searcher is the best for a range of dates as well as destinations...

I have had very good experience with KVS for more than a decade. Recently they seem to have lost the ability to show the fare class availability in each of the letter letter classes. That was an important tool for me to be able to see which flights may open up based upon the availability of paid seats and trying to predict future award space opportunities… It was also good to be able to see how many people might be in a given cabin, given my general preference for fewer people, especially in first.

Without that I don’t see a reason to maintain KVS membership.

But in terms of thus being a legit business…they have always been honorable and responsive, IME. I am pretty sure the owner is an original/seasoned Flyertalk member.

I would hardly classify KVS with the first part of this description given their business model is charging money to enable end user to violate various websites' terms of use. The second part also seems questionable given the recent posts.

Honorable? How can one be honorable given the business model and the number of reports of people paying and not receiving auth codes, etc. I'd question that.
Responsive? Well, sure -- when one complains long/loudly enough a response is generally obtained.
