Awardnexus also scrapes the QF/BA/AC/NH Websites without asking for your QF/BA credentials. Also it's free :)
Note: if you disclose your QF/BA login info to KVS, the risk is all yours. When someone does something nefarious with them the airlines will wash their hands off the liability since you disclosed the data to someone. |

Yes, same here. I am always surprised by how negatively some people on these boards feel about KVS. I have not had any serious problem with the tool and have found it very useful on a number of occasions. I would not hesitate to use it again if needed. I am sure some people feel differently.
I don't mind providing my credentials, but this is good to know -- thank you! What started this was KVS was losing search functionality but instead of obtaining new data sources legitimately or just state this functionality is no longer available, KVS decided to ask it’s paying users to create fraudulent accounts on the FAU (Florida Atlantic University) travel site meant for its own users and without FAU consent. KVS could have just created these fraudulent FAU account(s) itself and have subscribers’ searches funnel through these fake account(s) and its subscribers would have been none the wiser. KVS knew that if it went with that model, it would potentially open itself up to civil and criminal liability. What does KVS do? It decides to knowingly and willfully have its paying subscribers create fraudulent FAU accounts so that customers like you can open yourself up to potential civil and criminal liability so that KVS can continue to profit. That is why some of us have an issue with KVS. |
After a month of no response, no codes, etc I've filed a case with PayPal. Shame as it looks like a great tool!
|
It's been over a month with no response from KVS. I requested a refund from PayPal and it was approved immediately. Unfortunate since I really liked using KVS in the past, but this lack of customer service is ridiculous.
|
I have a subscription but the tool cannot be used anymore. The website www.kvstool.com is not even available. Sad.
|
It is up today.

Thank you for the news. Good to hear!
KVS, Please do something about the CX search. It is NOT working. With BA not showing anything non-BA it seems, JL not working and QF seemingly not working nothing works for One World redemption! Please do something about CX awards then! Thank you. |
Got a "friendly reminder" that I had placed an order. But unfortunately I never received the temporary nor permanent code. Have requested a refund. Will do a chargeback soon.
|
Likewise, received the reminder email. How many businesses send out such emails? Yet with multiple emails all related to order and payment, the email containing the very key itself is not sent.
|
First of all, we would like to, once again, remind KVS Tool Members that this thread is not one of our official support channels. Please use the Contact Form on the official KVS Tool Homepage or e-mail us directly in order for us to be able to handle your inquiry promptly.
Furthermore, virtually all e-mail non-delivery issues appear to concern GMail users.

+1 for not getting a registration code after paying for access. Nothing in my spam folder. Silence from the KVS team after multiple emails and support requests.

So against all recommendations, I had KVS Tool and elected to purchase it again. So far so good. I got my temp code in about 30 seconds and so far, after I installed the latest version 10.4.1 Diamond it seems to be working well. I did have to put all my One World info into it, i.e. BA FF and Qanta FF. So far so good.
I have expert flier, but was unable to find a way to search for awards for more than 3 days at a time. With KVS, I can search 31 days from a specific date i.e. not today like expert flier.

I paid for the diamond membership over a week ago, but did not see the ridiculous warning about using free email providers. Have been unable to get in contact with the KVS team even through the contact form. Is this normal? I apologise in advance if I have misread another one of your rules about how to receive emails.

Used KVS a few years ago and it usually worked quite well, error codes listed on site and usually able to self fix it. Fast forward a few years later and now without knowing all this drama I went ahead and bought a platinum since that is needed to check CX awards. Nothing works out of the box, error codes are not ones that are shown on their error diagnostic page. Filling the form on their site asking for help results in no replies for 4 days now. Am going through the payment method I used to try to get a refund. The support is extremely underwhelming as many in this thread have recently stated

I got my temporary code after posting here. The web form did not yield a response for me. I never did get my "permanent" registration code and just decided to write it off and be glad I didn't pay for a longer membership. I'd just lodge a chargeback if I were you. What else are you meant to do?

So your temporary code expired, I take it? I guess I'll dispute with my bank. So crazy. |
Contact form or email has yielded no replies. At this point I have bought the $75 package for close to a week and it has not functioned nor have I been able to get a reply from their contact form, their email or the refund request I sent through the amazonpay payment method.
Have to dispute with my bank which is a hassle. Horrible how KVS customer service has gotten to this point, I actually liked using the tool many years back. |

Please also note that the Temporary Registration Code that you have received will always continue to work until you receive your Permanent Credentials (regardless of the expiration date shown in the e-mail).

hi!
i purchased an additional 12 months just for the temporary code to be sent to my new computer. sent a DM with the email 10 minutes, nothing so far. Thanks! |
KVS its really false advertising to say that if you just purchase a renewal we'll get a temporary code, when that isn't the case. 15 hours still nothing.

Is a download to a desktop/laptop required to become a KVS tool user? How can I do browser only?

I cannot answer for KVS but I do have my own experience where gmail - unlike many other mail providers - will restrict files with certain content from being delivered. It also detects if file extensions are changed to try to bypass restrictions and also looks inside zip files to see whether the files within the zip meet gmail's rules.

I started using the KVS Tool this week. I used a non GMail adress and had no issues registering. However, I encountered some issues
- ANA Award search through partners only partially showed correct results. Checked with M&M/ AC / SQ (always wants Captchas!) Sometimes I get a seat, sometimes shows no award availability - Especially the Power Search does not work for me (or I don't know how to use it?). That would be a killer feature but he shows me no flights or just for one day even though I choose several days and I can see award availability (example SFO - HND) |

Not using ANA award search - no point for me to do so - I use AC/M&M primarily - and it's mostly *much better* than having to log into Aeroplan's or M&M's websites... |

Actually, when I was involved with Kevin (aka KVS) few years ago, he was using Gmail himself. Not sure what he is using nowadays though. I know my Chase electronic statements periodically don't make it to Microsoft as I'm randomly getting snail mail from Chase saying they couldn't deliver to [email protected] |

I know hotmail/outlook.com does something similar. Completely blocks (never shows in SPAM and the sender doesn't get a bounce-back either) for a lot of "verification" emails (ie, you create an account on some forum, it sends you an email verification link and you never get it). The one time I was able to get an admin (from the sending system) to look at the logs, it appeared that MS would reject/whack the connection if the email had "too many links/URL's" So I created a gmail account to get around that, but seems that Google is now doing something similar.

Obfuscating your real location (is it Canada, USA or Bahamas or whatever country it is), misusing other business services etc, will not work. |

No, it doesn't work that way - I have been involved in administering mail servers including bulk mailing services (we were sending up to 200K mails a day) for some time and had to deal with Microsoft, Google, AWS, Yahoo and many others about that. It all depends on how well your mail server is set up (there are heaps of ways how to make sure your messages don't get dumped if you are legitimate business) and "reputation" of your servers.

Obfuscating your real location (is it Canada, USA or Bahamas or whatever country it is), misusing other business services etc, will not work. Now we've migrated to O365 where all mail (there is no delineation between "internal" and "external" with O365 Gx tenants) gets treated the same. We've had repeated instances where "internal email" (ie, I send an email to my colleague right across from me) gets treated/marked as Spam. |
