What is an alternative to AwardWallet for tracking your flights? One feature I really liked is how I would get sent e-mails to my awardwallet account and it woudl track my upcoming flights, hotels, and tell me everything to stay organized- is there an alternative for this?

TripIt. I love it. I get texts on the day of travel as to my gate, if there are any delays, and so on.

An excel sheet. But I just downloaded a free app last weekend called TravelRewards Wallet. You have to update everything manually, but that’s what I’m doing now with my excel sheet anyways so, we’ll see.

For organizing trips, I use TripIt, which I love!

Cancellations appear to have exceeded the plan and in a move that will do nothing AW is now offering free extensions!

Hey,

We have received a lot of feedback about our price increase from supporters like you, and we wanted to share a few updates.

Although the support of paid subscribers is essential to keep AwardWallet running, we also recognize that many of our members support AwardWallet in other ways.

We’ve decided to do an annual review of our members’ accounts to identify folks who have helped make AwardWallet better for everyone. Here are a few things we’re taking into consideration:
Following the AwardWallet blog and supporting our content team by using our links to apply for credit cards or purchase ttravel
Providing helpful feedback (like identifying bugs or suggesting new features)
Connecting a mailbox to make it easier for us to track your loyalty accounts and travel
Tracking a diverse set of accounts and keeping them updated
Referring friends and family to AwardWallet

Your account didn’t qualify for a complimentary AwardWallet Plus upgrade for a full year, but we’ve decided to extend your membership by three months.

Your account will now be upgraded through 4/21/25. (Before we made this change, your AwardWallet Plus was valid through 1/11/25.)

We hope you’ll continue using AwardWallet and take some of the steps we noted above. We’ll take another look at the criteria noted above in three months to see if you qualify for an extended upgrade.
I've only ever used it to track accounts and never looked at blogs or referrals so presume 3 months is what everyone gets as a minimum.

Happy to take the extension but like others have said it isn't worth the new price with so many 2FA non-updating accounts. Pity they don't want to strike a better price balance for those of us who had the grandfathered rate.

I got the same email (with different dates for my extension) but I don't think this latest act of goodwill will sway many opinions. The initial large price hike probably has burned too many bridges at this point.

I doubt I will get an extension - my complaint in the blog was not published - only favourable ones were.

My ticket was also dismissed with a demial of any lifetime offer or indeed any acknowledgement of the page etc.

It was a shame that no website took up the offer. Some made decent commission from people using their link, yet oddly refuse to be critical or even campaign on behalf of their members.

same … unless they roll out all those promised new features in the next three months and this gives me a chance to try them out.

My extension is pretty funny:

Your account will now be upgraded through XX/25. (Before we made this change, your AwardWallet Plus was valid through X/XX/21.)

No extension/upgrade offered here. Many diverse accounts tracked ... so who knows how they worked it out.

yosithezet Jan 24, 2025 8:24 am

What is the title of the email?

I got this extension email a week ago. The title was "We’re Upgrading Your Account!". And while I've paid in the past for an upgraded account, it's been over 5 years (at least). But I'm upgraded for 3 months.

RoAm traveler Feb 4, 2025 11:16 am

Even though it's easier, I still prefer not to give up my login credentials to a third-party and then have to pay more for that :/

I had missed all the previous emails about the price increases (no doubt because of the incredible volume of emails) and was just charged $49.99. This seems like a pretty clear case of a company raising their prices because their revenue has decreased from lost subscribers. But they've lost subscribers due to functionality degradation, so increasing the price by 400%, for those of us who have stayed, for a product that barely works compared to when we signed up, seems shortsighted to say the least. I can't imagine they will be in business for more than another 18 months.

Edit to add: I just clicked "Update all" on AwardWallet, thinking I'd get all my current balances before I go. It had me log in to four separate sites, one by one. Then it threw errors and didn't update a single one of my 12 accounts. I tried twice, same result. $49.99 for this?
