Do you know if it charged you 30 right away or will wait till your renewal date?

If you cancel does it terminate the benefits immediately or at the end of your paid/subscription period?

Not a question of suing, but more the trust in the organization. I don't find it that sloppy and relatively clear. You can still find that offer on their own website too. If you can't own your mistakes (if that's what it is), you might not warrant my business.

Does anyone have the terms and conditions of the original offer?
Could you link that offer on their website?

I don't use the service a ton and for sure, had I known that grandfathered "for so long as I maintain Awardwallet Plus" was just a bunch of marketing speak, I likely would have canceled years ago. Keeping people tethered by promising a rate ad infinitum causes people (like me) to rely on those promises, and when they change course, it sounds legally problematic. |
Is it worth the fee?
I don’t like the idea of handing over my login information to a third party, no matter how secure they say they are. I know I can enter and update the information manually for each program I belong to. However, if I have to manually enter my information, I don’t see why I should pay a continual fee for a glorified excel sheet. That being said, I do like a good visual that is not just an excel sheet. Is there any option, even if it’s not award wallet, where I pay a one-time fee to keep track of points and expiration dates manually and can see it in an easy to understand way?

Did anyone else start getting a lot more email from Awardwallet? I tried to limit what I get, but I don't see a checkbox for the emails they're sending now.
Sounds like someone over there decided to start getting some revenue happening. |

I stopped using AwardWallet since I had to input most of my programs manually anyways.
|
I actually still like the free version for the oddball programs, like the cashback portals and the small hotel chains and foreign airlines.
But I really don't like their data gathering and now, their emails. |
I'm going to pay it as an insurance policy. Years ago one of my programs I wouldn't have checked often if doing manually was hacked and they booked flights and drained the account. By updating balances regularly, I caught it much quicker and everything was restored. Also want to make sure no points or certificates expire.
I renew in 6 months. I assume if I do the 5yr plan, my new expiration is in 5 years and 6 months. |

There was also some anecdotal information of using AW causing the loyalty program to lock your account assuming fraud was going on. I have no idea how true this was but there did seem to be at least some correlation in some instances.
|
With more and more sites requiring multi-factor authentication, AW is probably going to slowly die if those websites do not have any sort of official support for their service.
