I have United promo emails send to awardwallet, which can scrape the email for account updates (mileage, etc.). I also have this set up for my family members, with a slightly different awardwallet address (it uses the FF account number). Awardwallet then forwards the email on to me.
Recently the promo emails for my family members also come to me, rather than forwarding to their email addresses. Anyone else seeing this behavior, and any fixes? |
I just looked at my AwardWallet account and it shows 31 programs with a tiny indicator which, when hovered, says "Background updating is turned off for technical reasons". I assume it's so tiny and lightly colored so you won't see it.
As it seems to basically do nothing to update accounts any more, does anyone still get value from it? It doesn't seem to be much more than a spreadsheet now. Especially insulting after they reneged on their "lifetime annual rate" promise. (They do publish plenty of newsletters pushing credit cards...) |
