I do not have android, as I have BlackBerry, but my younger brother does have one of the android phones and he absolutely loves it. I have seen his many applications and my favorite one is... GPS system ^

Does any Android owner here use Trapster or something similar? [Link to it here] .
The NSW Govt this week introduced secret, mobile speed cameras operated by Redflex.
This has been a revenue raising exercise for VIC and likely many US states where Redflex has similar revenue raising (hidden speed cam operation) contracts.
I'd just be interested in who uses Trapster or similar, and whether it's worth the hassle.
The issue in this case is that the operator of the 'mobile' speed traps moves their hidden location every 3hrs or less, to maximise their stealth operation.

Probably not the most awesome app ever, but I'm just getting started in the development process and I haven't had a ton of time to clean it up yet. Anyways, "Timetable by W.A.T.T." is an interface to the Amadeus Timetable web interface. Looks something like this:
...
I'm open to feedback and suggestions for improvements as well as similar tools that might be useful.

It also handles a number of query error scenarios much more cleanly.

Plus, since I already had the code on the website, I went ahead and produced an inventory tool for Android as well. Apollo, Worldspan and Galileo searches are supported.

You should be able to find both apps in the marketplace by searching for "W.A.T.T." (Wandering Aramean Travel Tools).
Feedback is always welcome.

These apps are helpful, thanks SBM. One quick bug - the save button doesn't seem to work on the config page in the timetable. Exit seems to save and exit, but normally I'd expect save to do "save and exit" and Exit to exit w/o save.

Thanks for the feedback. My original architecture was that save was just save and exit was just exit. I can easily change that and your version probably makes more sense. I am surprised that exit is saving in addition to closing the form; I'll definitely have to look in to that.

I use Google Listen for podcasts. You can download them on 3G/Wifi before the flight and have hours of good content.

A number of people asked to be able to exclude codeshare flights using the tool. So now you can.

Here is a great security app that keeps any of your Widgets, Apps, Shortcuts or Folders behind a unlock code or pattern.
Called Application Protection

Tasker is, far and away, the best android app. No contest.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it upthread or not.
It is the only paid app that I use, and it is well worth it. It replaces several paid and free apps worth of functionality, and it is still growing.
After using it, I wouldn't want any kind of phone without it.
Download directly from the developer (http://tasker.dinglisch.net/) or the market.
Note: I am not the developer or affiliated with him. It's just a plain awesome app.

A little OT, but does anyone know why, if you want to download Google Listen, they need access to your phone calls (state and identity)? The NPR News podcast needs it as well, as does Radio France's.

I imagine it is so the phone can ring while the music plays, thus turning off the music and letting the call go through.
