This is very good news if accurate and makes it to law soon. Fingers crossed, I fly out tomorrow.

So, flying out this weekend and on TG927 for the last segment/arrival in Thailand.

The flight time seemed long, so I just did some further checking, and it looks like it actually has a stop at HKT before onward travel to BKK.
On my reservation and e-ticket receipt, it is listed as FRA->BKK, no mention of a "stop".

Anyone have experience with this? I assume I am still fine, will just stay on the plane and arrive at BKK for my T&G scheme as planned?

I haven't been on a "one-stop" flight in a LONG LONG time...

yes some of the TG flights from Europe fly to HKT first, unload the guests with Phuket as final destination while everybody else has to stay on board; for sure no new guests will join. Usually they do not need to stay the full 1.5 hours as scheduled in HKT so that a early arrival of around an hour in BKK is usual...

Thanks for the info. I figured that was the case, but nice to have it confirmed. Strange that the stop isn't listed on my reservation.
Can't wait to get back.

To everyone, I got this email in my spambox today; it's a phising email! Be very careful with emails like this, all legit emails regarding the Thailand Pass come from the 'tp.consular.go.th' domain.

I got that one too this morning - duly reported to corporate as phishing.

estnet Feb 27, 2022 11:03 am

This is a well reported scam, happened episodically a few times over the last few weeks. Apparently a hack/leak in the official data base, Along with the email sender and the domain allegedly being registered in the Netherlands.
The best clue though, is that if TP wanted info they would ask you to go to the official link where you would have to log in not ask for a reply over email.

MegatopLover Feb 27, 2022 11:36 am

I got it too. Good to know others confirming it’s a phishing attack.

BinSabai Feb 27, 2022 8:20 pm

I got even two on Sunday from different E-Mail addresses
one was in English and Thai; the Thai was so crap, it was obvious that it came from google translate or from a foreigner

SKT-DK Feb 27, 2022 9:38 pm

The funny thing is that they are asking for details to "update" a ThailandPass which has been expired for months :D

Went exactly as you described. Landed early in HKT, most of the plane got off, no new passengers came on board.
Interesting, there was a pretty large cleaning crew that came on to service the cabin. Would have thought they would wait until it was back at BKK for that.

And yes, we were about an hour early into BKK. Busier then last time. A brief wait in the blue chairs as the doc check was conducted. Immigration line 1 deep, and waiting on checked bags was still the bottle neck. Seems that baggage delivery has actually slowed down compared to pre-covid, but maybe just a perception or I got unlucky the past couple trips.

that was my own experience entering on 11., taking second PCR test on 15, I try scan QR code of the test report but that did not work. on the 17. I got the notification by the App to upload the test (it's not a push message but can be retrieved under the menu "notification")

Sorry to jump back to this, but it is bugging me.

Is this the MorChanna app? I put it on my phone this trip at the direction of the hotel. They said I needed to upload my Day 1 test result to the app, otherwise the hotel will get a call tomorrow asking about it. But neither I nor the pretty sharp hotel staff can figure out a way to upload it. There is a QR code on the lab report, but when I scan it, it comes up with a wrong data error.

Guess I will see if I get a "notification" tomorrow.

The app will give a notification to visit a website where you can upload results. The app itself doesn't handle uploads, or at least it didn't a month ago. If you end up dismissing the notification (like I did the first time) there isn't any way to get back to it (unless you have app notification history turned on in Android, not sure about iOS) and you have a wait a day until it sends you another notification.

I asked the Thai embassy in my country and they said the exact opposite, they said that a positive test is acceptable IF I bring a recovery certificate.

Question, do you live in a EU country?

AXA has changed the insurance coverage from $50k to $20k on their website but not reduced the premium even one baht, how greedy?

Any other alternative?

updated application process for Thai pass

As per midnight Thai time on 1st March it was possible to apply for the infamous Thai pass without proof of day 5 paid hotel booking. Chapeau! They must be desperate for money ;)
But the non acceptance of .pdf files just shows where the country stands. Will be interesting the "ambiance" given the unavoidable Omicron rise, if not being put to Corona jail upon arrival.

I did not find any reference on the Moo(r why this r in all this หมอ) Chana app. It appears that it is strongly encouraged, but not legally mandatory.

Wish me good luck for my last ever trip to Thailand. เหยียดหยาม & เซ็ง :D

Mor Chana and not Moo Chana....because the physician wins and not the pig!:D
(and by the way, even my test & go hotel was not interested in this APP and I used it so far only one time to get into a temple)

your wording in Thai...does that refer to your contributions in discussions on FT?

I wish you all the best for your final trip....and that your tests stays as negative.... like your attitude towards Thailand;)

behuman Mar 1, 2022 2:17 am

for once positively impressed

Our Thai pass was approved in 10 hours 21 minutes, respectively 10 hours 30 minutes. Respect ! Perhaps things are changing and my horrific experiences are a thing of the past. Everything can change to better, but in this case it is just impressive ! My submission was strictly following their rules and format tough.

Moo in German pronounciation has nothing to do with pig ;). Thank you for the heads up regarding its application.

The wording is a personal feeling .

I appreciate your good wishes and am very relieved to be done finally. Not all folks are the same and the happiness I wish to you may not be located at the same place as mine.

Day 7

Quick questions, I’m assuming today (day 7) or tomorrow (after night 7) mor chana will ask me to upload my two negative certificates? What documents do I need to show when I leave the sandbox, hoping to head to Bangkok for my last couple of nights?

i got a notification in the app (on the menu at the bottom right) to upload the second test)
there was a link in the notification to a website; it asked for Lab No, date of test and for a copy of the test (photo or screenshot)...after I uploaded this, the App turned immediately green...

I still have not received the notification in Morchanna app to upload my Day 1 result.

My QR code did change to green though.
Wonder if they are now linked somehow "behind the scenes", for the PCR tests anyway.

Now I remember it, my morchana app changed to low risk after my first PCR result with no intervention.

you do not need to upload Day 1 result, just the result of the second test (new ATK, before PCR)...

Thailand is connected to the EU's DCC system, which means they accept vaccine, negative test and recovery certificates issued by EU countries and vice versa.

I was just going by what I was told by my hotel. Apparently, they are connected somehow. As I am still stuck under the Day 5 PCR test scheme, will report if anything different there...although probably not applicable to anyone afterward.

eccentricfusion Mar 2, 2022 3:37 pm

They are supposed to be connected, which is the reason they make copies of your passport at the second test. Whether or not that worked all that well... I manually uploaded mine and it went to low risk, after waiting 24 hours from the time of the result being emailed to me. I stopped getting notifications in the app afterwards. If it would have changed by itself eventually, not sure, but I was eager to upload the result in order to delete that useless app from my phone.

strickers Mar 2, 2022 6:05 pm

Just had the notification in Morchana to upload the day 7 test which I assume is day 5, hopefully just a case now of waiting for verification and I’ll be in the green.

You got bad info from your local embassy, recovery certificates are accepted in Thailand.

Take a look at the Thai Pass FAQs https://consular.mfa.go.th/th/conten...nd-pass-faqs-2
I guess in your case, you are looking at the 3rd bullet item?

I have previously been infected with COVID-19; can I travel to Thailand?
หากมีประวัติได้รับเชื้อโควิด-19 จะสามารถเดินทางไปประเทศไทยได้หรือไม่
- Yes. Those previously infected with COVID-19 are considered fully vaccinated if they have received a single dose of COVID-19 vaccine at any time after their recovery. Please be advised that your proof or medical record of COVID-19 recovery must be submitted alongside your single-dose vaccination certificate.
- If you have been fully vaccinated before contracting COVID-19, you are still considered to be fully vaccinated.
- Those who have recovered from COVID-19 within 3 months before travelling to Thailand must present a valid COVID-19 recovery form or medical certificate certifying that they have recovered from COVID-19 within 3 months before travelling or are asymptomatic in case their COVID-19 RT-PCR test shows a positive result.

There have been lots of reports of people entering with recovery certificates.

You are correct, what I meant to say is that (I think) that there is a bigger chance that the Thai government will accept vaccine/recovery certificates from countries (EU in this case) that have their DCC system connected to each other.

So Morchana is still showing yellow/low-risk for some reason? I have a release form from the SHA hotel where I spent the first 7 nights in Phuket. Looking to fly to Bangkok in a few days, what documents will the airline be looking for from a tourist?

most airlines ask for a document that proves you are vaccinated (and of course passport)
