I do think there is considerable risk BKK immigration will send you back when it doesn't scan though. |

How are you doing now HumbleBee? Can I ask you which insurance package you have, and do they cover your quarantine period in the hotel?

It’s very likely that there will be more changes coming up. I think, that it will be much, much easier to travel to Thailand after April 1 (my personal estimation, could be sooner), Nov 1 was when the original t&g started. They gave us an ATK when they did the arrival test on us, with instructions to use it on day 5. You were supposed to report the results in Morchana, but that didn't work for many people. We tested negative, didn't even try to report the result, though we saved them on our phones. Nobody ever asked for them. We self tested several times during our 2 month stay. -David |

It is actually pretty simple...on day 7 after your arrival, you get a notification with a link by your App (whether you came in by old or new Test & Go or Sandbox)..with the link you open a website, where you enter LAB No and date of issue as well as a photo of your lab report...after you submit, the App turns from orange (MEDIUM RISK) to green (VERY LOW RISK)
When I entered under the old one, the ATK was supposed to be taken on Day 5 and there was no process to report it anywhere. And under current scheme, I have to go back to SHA hotel on Day 5 and quarantine until that Day 5 test result is received. Am I missing something? |

Hi BinSabai. Sorry, I am not following this. I don't recall any "Day 7" test requirement, either under the old T&G or the current one.

I got the notification by the App to upload the test (it's not a push message but can be retrieved under the menu "notification") |

Ah, OK. Thanks. I haven't done the Sandbox scheme. Just ASQ, then T&G.
And honestly, have never used an app during either one of them. Is that MorChanna? and it is the same procedure for T & G like for Sandbox (I also did T & G, not Sandbox (after two times ASQ) |

Did you need the app for anything? I was there for over 2 months total, and never had anyone ask for it or anything. |

Mine said to take the test on Day 5, but don't bother to call the result in or anything as there is no way for them to do anything with the result.

Someone above asked if Qatar scanned the QR code. Not in SEA or before we boarded in DOH. They just wanted the QR code for the Thai Pass printed.

speculation speculation...
fact is that the number of daily cases has exceeded 20'000 today and will probably continue to rise for some time and even the TAT minister said in a interview that the Thailand Pass will stay indefinitely (!!!) |

That means, that you don’t need a 2nd booking or a 2nd PCR test in Thailand to apply for a Thailand Pass anymore. You still need an insurance, but for at least US 20k (before USD 50k). |

There is a risk that you need to apply for a new Thailand Pass for technical reasons. It’s not sure, when they will change the procedure to apply for a Thailand Pass - or when they remove the day 5 requirement from https://tp.consular.go.th. Could be March 1, could be sooner. |

It’s not 100% clear yet how they will handle the transition. It depends on your date of arrival, if you can cancel your ‘day 5 package’ now or if you should wait. If you will arrive later than around March 7 or 8, then you should contact your hotel now and request to cancel the ‘day 5 package’.

they say, that you can apply for the new Test & Go Thailand Pass (with an ATK instead of a second PCR) from March 1. Guess there will be a long queue again like on 1. Feb (it took over 5 days until I got mine approved)...
I'm not sure if it still is an automated process .. because when I applied for my TP last week it took around 24 hours. |

I guess it depends on your QR code, when I applied for my TP back in November it was approved in 10 seconds because I am a EU resident and the European Union shares their QR code system (I dont k now how to describe it) with the Thai authorities and vice versa.

I am due to take my day 5 test on 1st of March.. Hopefully I can switch to lateral flow

it looks like application for the new Test & Go scheme with 1 PCR and 1 ATK can only be done from 1. March with arrival from 7. March... |

All this is so complicated. If I could do it over I’d just go to Cambodia

Well I tested positive today (I feel fine) so I have to cancel my plans for march 8. Anyone in here who recently traveled to Thailand with a recovery certificate? How did it go?
And.. do I still have to do the 1 day quarantine? I mean, does it make sense to do the 1 day in quarantine if I recently recovered from COVID, because a test will be positive for sure. |
I don't think Thailand recognizes recovery certificates at all.

Yes, I think it's fair to say that there is nothing official written down that Thailand recognise recovery certificates. The only policy is that if you test positive, and there are several reports that the Thai PCR test is more sensitive, then you are at risk of being entertained at a hospital or hotel-hospital for at least 10 days. There are unsubstantiated reports on the forum that there might be reports on Facebook of some instances of recovery certificates being taken into consideration, but there definitely nothing official and no first hand reports in this forum as far as I remember.
For example around post 1274 in https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thai...thread-85.html Thanks for the help, much appreciated! |

And yes, the test in Thailand is more sensitive. They do the swab test the right way and some say that they add more cycles. It’s not sure, that someone (fully vaccinated/3 doses) gets tested positive after 12 or 14 days of getting tested positive the first time. It’s more likely, that the tests are negative. But there is a high risk of getting sent to quarantine. Personally I wouldn’t travel to Thailand short time after I got tested positive. |

Best way is to ask the embassy of Thailand in your country. Some of them answer questions by Facebook/Twitter quite fast, |
