Chances are good-ish.
So it would appear it is either version 7443 or 7444 (not 7442 because of showing less sleeper seats).

If this is correct then Seat Guru V2 would be accurate....unless they do a last minute swap out.

I'm not sure how you arrive at that conclusion.

Seat Guru V1 - does not exist, has not for some time.
Seat Guru V2 - old 10 seat F

Seat Guru does not show a config with 9 F seats (which is planned for TG925 on 19 Dec)...check back in a few years, they might've caught up.

Yes well they are supposedly flying 9F on BKK-HKG and I've been in old F my last two flights in a row. Both of which showed as 747 All Series right up to departure.

So I consider it absolutely pointless to speculate as to which aircraft will show at the gate on a particular day.

The only way you can absolutely be sure is if you're flying to BKK. Then you can check your inbound plane registration.

The 8 am departure BKK-HKG will be operated by an A380 come 12/1/14.

i.e, say you're flying SYD-BKK (TG476). If you track the plane that operates TG475, then it's almost for sure that the plane that's operating 476 will be the inbound plane. So if 475 has new F, then it's likely that 476 will too (on your particular date of departure).

Yeah, that much I surmised upthread:

. . .

I imagine one doesn't know which plane is gonna be used until the day or so before, right?

Is it safe to assume that whatever plane is operating TG471 the day before will be operating TG 472 the next day?
I thought you meant that BKK may have something similar to FRA which tracks the planes.

Where can I check the plane registration?

Also, would I be able to find this out for a Dec 19th flight - or much too early?

EDIT: I just read your reply

Flightaware or flightradar track registrations. You can only use that technique pretty much te day before. I.e you are tracking the inbound aircraft for your flight on the turnaround. That's why it only works flying to Bangkok, NOT from.

TG472 SYD-BKK on November 21 was the 10 seat pod style. Really showed its age.

Not flown it, but recent flights have been operated by the older F cabin, yes...as has TG476.

There was also a website that show the 18F/60C (the one with row 27) 7441. This is ridiculously outdated.
