Speaking of Champagne, after Pommery in C in December, my last 2 flights in C this month have been serving Charles Heidsiek. Menu says ' Premium Champagne ', had to ask them to bring out the bottle to show me what it was as they kept it in the galley and not on the drinks cart.

Here we go again...
I am so sick and tired with those lat minute equiment changes , that I have decided to take all my european trips to QR.
TG is going to miss out on between 6 to 8 F return trips to CDG or LHR per year, all paid for.
Not that they care anyway, as that will just open up one more seat for the corrupt VIP's magical upgrades.

On Wednesday's TG910 we got the Dom as usual as welcome drink. When they came around taking orders for first drink after take off they never said anything when ordering champagne, and I was pleased to see a Dom appear in the bucket when they set the table up.

A chat with the crew in the galley revealed there was three bottles of Dom loaded to cover both our TG910 and the TG911 back, after that it was the Bolly. I seemed to be the only one drinking it and I just had a couple of glasses, my main course then knocked the Zzz's out, so they still had two bottles left for the return.

I'm considering flhying BKK to HKG on TG in F or J. From what I see, does this mean that it will be Bollinger for sure? Also, will there be caviar on this Asian route? I noticed there are only a couple flights with F seating and most are with J....Is F a significant improvement on this route; ie should I be looking for a flight that has the F?

No caviar, it is only a brief regional route, but F is always nice, the seats are the older style which for daytime travel are ideal, you would remember the large lounge room chair type in a 2/2/2 pattern, very comfortable. Business is alongside the galley and upstairs. Food and wine is comparable in both classes, if the cost is not in the equation, go for F, never packed, there is usually a one on one service ratio

Hi BKKROP. The flight is often full in F, partly because of the TIps, partly because fare is cheap and some pax connect to longhaul F. So the one to one service ratio is very rare.
On the other hand, food and wine is better than in J. Also you sometimes have the chance to get a plane equipped with the new seats. Wonder what will happen with the removal of HKG-TPE.

They are adding an additional 747 daily, so might have a choice of 2 F flights a day it seems.

I would rather see TG permanently swap Bolly for Dom if it meant serving better food in F.

In my opinion, the cuisine on TG is dead last among all carriers with longhaul F.
