6610 should have no problem at all connecting. What error or symptoms are you getting?

The developer has not give a time frame but did use the phrase: "WiForums PocketIE AHM for Windows Mobile 2005 is not yet available." So it sounds like they do plan to support it in the future.

It is a four year old 6610 (not a 6610i) and the WAP Browser is old (habe problems acessing more wap sides, though Swiss and Lufthansa WAP Portal work more or less. So, I do not worry about the not working portal .... Do not aks me anything about technical informations, I even have the manual not anymore

Okay, back to you question. I could log me in and see the start page (with PM) and Myforums etc. If I try to open them I got the Login window again. But I could klick on who is online and see ball users (the only possible function available).

Thanks

I would agree with other posts in that it would be good to see more than one post per page. Could the font be made smaller? I it were the equivalent size of the menu a lot more could be displayed.
Try going to "My Prefs" and turning "Truncate" off. It should give you a page of full posts. You can set the number of posts and threads per page using the "My Prefs" menu. IMHO wireless FT works brilliantly. ^

Neat feature of FT - thanks! ^
i'd like to echo the "vertical listing" as well and if i may add-after i log in and selct a thread, prefs, pm, etc, i'm asked to log in again but other than that, works great on my nokia 6102 tho it would be nice to be able to set your prefs from the website-just a thought but again many thanks ^

Sounds like your phone may not be set up to accept the equivalent of cookies for a phone browser correctly or that it is prematurely deleting them from what you say about it logging you out.

You can set your preferences for FT Wireless with the Opera browser, it has built in Wap support: http://www.opera.com/ so you can view the wireless version of FT using that browser on your desktop or laptop computer and set your prefs that way.

Posts (rather than threads) per page is another one of the things that people are complaining about. You cam set it to a number as large as 30 using the "Post Options" under "My Prefs." (Though I must say that a default of only one post per page seems kind of silly. Is there a way that the initial default values can be set to something reasonable?)

And I already posted via FlyerTalk WAP a week ago, on the Brooklyn Reality Tour thread in Community. Works great; big improvement over accessing regular FT from my BlackBerry. Posting to regular FT was especially problematic as it seemed to time me out repeatedly. The WAP version doesn't seem to do this as much and is generally more manageable. ^

Thx! Didn't realize there was a separate set of prefs for the wireless!

Works for me. I'd like more posts per screen. The download takes more time than it would with 5 - 10 posts.

truncate = off; posts/page = 30; threads/page = 30 was exactly what I needed. ^

It would be great if I could set wireless prefs on line and not have to wait for things to load. Or maybe I should just get an 8700 and have EDGE.

I think that's the ticket. With EVDO (Verizon's broadband) on my cell phone, everything is blazing fast. Even set to 30 per page.

No problems whatsoever using a BB 7250. Thanks Tim and anyone else who thought to implement and then got this up and running!

This is much better then using the Archive (where it was read only) and faster loading then using the regular FT, when one wanted to post.

I do have a question though. I would assume that turning Truncation off would allow all of a post to show up, instead of having to click more again and again, especially on long posts (ie, trip reports) but apparently it does not. What does turning Truncation on or off actually do?
That is my only complaint, it would be nice to allow a whole post to show up on the page, no matter how many characters long.

Ok, posted before reading the 2nd page of posts in this thread.
Truncation has to do with how many posts per page. I assumed it meant Show or Do not show a whole post w/o having to click "more" if a single post goes over x number of characters.
So that is still my question / "complaint".

How don or what Pref needs to be changed, for you to see a whole post w/o having to click more?
