Loads up "ok" with the wap browser on a Nokia 6021 phone, but the header elements on the pages (coloured background bits), etc are transposed vertically and therefore a little difficult to read. The thread posts however display fine, so workable.

Neat feature of FT - thanks! ^

Me too. In my experience the biggest issues with mobile web browsing are too many or large images as well as complex tables/frames (these are gone with the very neat page layout ^ ) and less whether an additional 2-3k of text is transfered.

But then again, I use a 3G network most of the time

Is this only for cellphone browsing?

Just tried with my wifi Palm Tungsten C; no joy. Tried with three different browsers.

Update on Pocket IE from WiForums:
WiForums PocketIE AHM for Windows Mobile 2005 is not yet available.

Personally, I would recommend that you install Opera Mobile for Windows
Mobile 2005 so that you can browse your WiForums installation in XHTML-MP
mode and/or WML mode.

Opera Mobile can be downloaded at:
http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/products/

It may also be possible to install Opera Mini on your device.
So for now Pocket IE is not supported unfortunately.

I'm not sure if this was not some sort of connection error, sounds like it could be. Please try it again and if it doesn't work visit the link I posted above to the wiforums site and let me know that it is still not working and any details about how it is not working. One other quick thing to try, your device may not handle http forwards correctly, to test this try visiting: http://gallery.flyertalk.com/wap/

Should work for things other than cell phone browsing... if you are still having problems please visit the wiforums link above as well and let me know what the error/problem is that you are seeing. Also try this alternate link to see if you are having problems with http forwarding: http://gallery.flyertalk.com/wap/

My PDA uses the previous version (I can't remember what it's called exactly - PocketPC 2003?), so does this also apply to mine?

I did, and it didn't (post #24), but the above statement from WiForums doesn't strictly apply to me, hence the question... Thanks!

Folks; one thing to keep in mind is that Flyertalk Wireless is for WAP devices. The Palm browser, Pocket Internet Explorer and many other PDA based browsers are NOT wap browsers, they are true internet browsers. WAP browsers are found in cellphones, blackberry devices and as an option on some PDA's.

Iam using my Blackberry 7230 as I write. It works just fine. My only issue is that some of the images don't show.

I would agree with other posts in that it would be good to see more than one post per page. Could the font be made smaller? I it were the equivalent size of the menu a lot more could be displayed.

However I do think this is a great addition to FT.

It may be that your device is having problems with the images, you should be able to turn off the images under "MyPrefs" > "Image Options". Thanks,

Got it working now - I think I was just being a bit impatient. The images load if I give it time.
