EDIT: I didn't catch that bolded part above, so it may not be the same, or you weren't logged in while on the wireless access, so first make sure you're logged on and if it doesn't, switch it in options. BTW, it's not the default, so you reset it to the newest on top option at some point.

Second Edit:I didn't realize that, unlike most wireless sites, FT redirects you back to regular FT if you attempt to access it via a non wireless device, but my suggestions that you make sure you're logged in and if that doesn't do it, try the options in MyFT still stand.

The wireless access seems to follow the same preferences that you have set for the regular site because mine starts with newest post on top when I access the wireless site on the computer.

Go your "MyFlyerTalk" and click on "edit options" and scroll down to:
Thread Display Mode
Here you can choose the display mode for threads. For a full explanation of the modes, please view this help page.
Thread Display Mode:
and select "Linear - Newest First" and it should start with the newest post on that thread.

One Caveat: This will probably also change your preference on your computer access to the regular site as well. I can't test this on a wireless device, so I can't be positive.

Actually I like reading the oldest post first when viewing from my home computer. It is only when I am using my PDA phone that I would like the order reversed. I am logged in with my PDA phone and it is painful to scroll down an entire thread, especially multi page ones to get to the most recent post. I wish that there was a way to just view this reversed on the wireless device.

There is a new icon to the right of each topic. Click that and it will take you to the last post in the thread. Did this work for you?

Okay so I'm very new to the handheld/mobile world. I use the icon to get to the last message, but when I get to the end of that post (could be multi-page), I can't get back to the thread or the previous post without going all the way back to the menu and working my way back to the particular thread ... what am I missing?

Also its nice that there is a "next page" option, but a previous page would be better, especially given the fact that you jump to the end of the thread to read the last post then realize you haven't seen the one before that, etc.

Different devices have different shortcuts to navigate webpages. On BlackBerries, you can press t or b for top/bottom. On many other devices, you can use your volume keys to pageup/pagedown. Without knowing your device, that is the most I can offer as advice.

That didn't work for me but I figured out what to do. At the bottom of the last post there is a menu on my WM6 PDA phone and one of the choices is post order. I can either hit #2 on the keyboard or tap that selection on my touch screen and it reverses the order of the posts. @:-)

Needless to say it saves a great deal of time scrolling down on a tiny cell phone screen. ^

it's a blackjack - is the t/b for the current screen or the multi-page webpage? I'll start playing. Thanks.

When a post is quoted there is no delineation as to where the quote ends and the new comments begin.

As this hasn't been discussed anywhere I can find it must be me but I would like to confirm it. I am unable to access flyertalk mobile.

When I attempt to go to http://www.flyertalk.com/wap/ or http://mobile.com/index.php which I had bookmarked

I get " Site error: the file /var/www/gallery.flyertallk.com/wwwwap/indexphp require sthe ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator."

Is this me and my iPhone?

Also have a problem. This is using WM6 with Opera:

Site error: the file var/www/gallery.flyertalk.com/www/wap/index.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.

I can't login either. It says username or password invalid, yet I can login to any wired machine using the same user/pass.

We have submitted a support ticket to WiForums, the developers of the software we use for the mobile FT. Sorry for the inconvenience.
