Site is very very slow...

I am quite new here. Not sure if anyone has similar experience as me. I feel flyertalk site is very slow recently, even in the midnight. (May be day time for folks from other countries? ) Sometime when I submit a post, it never stops loading. However, the post could have been submitted, and I could double submit a post.

Is this the normal speed for flyertalk?

I've noticed that quoting is slower than it was under the old version of the software. I wouldn't say the site is very very slow, just a little slower with some of the functions.

I've noticed "stalls" in FlyerTalk since it came back up. Sailing along just fine and then click on a link...and nothing. Just wait a bit and finally the page loads. I think I'm getting between 5 and 10 minutes sailing time and then I hit a 1 minute stall. Then back to full speed. Then the problem repeats.

Not happening on any other web sites or bulletin boards I've hit. Just FlyerTalk.

What happened? I was like a junkie looking for dope -- poking around the internet, reading this and that, but nothing satisfied. Then, when FT was back up . . .aaahhhhhhh!!!!!

FT non functioning slow, occasionally down?

FT Surfing and Posting can be just painful lately. When posting, the system can seemingly hang for minutes at a time, and at the end (closing the window or having it time out or finally returning to a thread), your post may or may not have made it to the thread.

I've had numerous occasions, where I'm hanging in one window, so open another to try another site to make sure my web connection is still there. No problem so I try to open FT from a separate window and it's totally responsive and no problem, but the other window (posting or surfing) is just hanging. At other times, FT cannot be found at all in that other window and it times out. Last night, for a bit FT was totally unavailable and within the past hour, the same thing happened.

I'm not sure if these are outages or just too much hitting the servers at one time.
