Hmm haven't had any for the better part of a month, although there may not have been too many to deliver in the early part of the month. I haven't receibed *any* for this thread:

Switched e-mails x2 with no appreciable difference.

I have not received email notifications for thread subscriptions or PMs in weeks. Although I am using gmail, I have added the contact described earlier, and I can also see nothing in my spam folder. Is it just me? BTW, Talkmail emails do reach me

No emails when I get a PM

I only signed up to get PM emails, but haven't gotten any for a couple of days. Using Yahoo for email. I double checked my settings to make sure they hadn't been turned off somehow, but it's all intact.

Still no emails

What's up? How do I get this fixed? Is posting in this thread/forum the right thing to do? Or should I do something else?

Timing Out, System Generally Slow

I am seeing this come up way too often instead of the Flyertalk page that was associated with a link ... the refresh key will usually complete the process and bring up the page I'm waiting for this is getting old pretty fast.

I also had an issue editing an existing post where I eventually gave up because the system was just not responding.

503 Service Unavailable
Unable to connect to 67.201.16.68.
These are not new issues, they are becoming more frequent and infinitely more annoying though ... are changes, upgrades or SOMETHING on the horizon to improve performance? Thanks.

I am not certain whether this is a related matter, but I have tried (twice) to post a new entry to a thread and it has not yet appeared - over half an hour later. Is this normal?

Welcome to FlyerTalk!

If your first few posts on FT contain an external link, they go into the moderator queue where they have to be approved before they are visible.

So it's just a matter of the forum moderator having time to check the queue and approve the posts. This is done to prevent spammers from linking to their websites.

Thanks, I did receive a note from the forum moderator. Somehow my message was queued for approval even though it did not contain an external link. It's posted now.

Nice to be aboard; thanks for the help.

I've been having intermittent time out problems on FT (and no other sites) on various computers across Australia and NZ in the past week.

Folks I really enjoy FlyerTalk, but I'm about ready to call it quits. This is the slowest site I visit on the www. It's taking forever today. What is wrong ? Please help. I don't want to leave.

I'll engage our tech folks to look at this. Thanks for bearing with it and we'll see what we can do.
