I would much rather have ozstamps contributing on FT, for all the controversy he can (and will http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif) from time to time cause, than to read statements such as those above.

The above statements are not convincing me that the benevolent leadership, so well demonstrated by the owner of this board, will be exercised by the candidate being discussed in this thread.

Therefore, I am unable to vote for you, I'm sorry.

(Edited for spelling and UBB)

I'm not sorry at all.

You're doing a good job at being FlyerTalk's whipping boy, though.

I'm enjoying watching you being eaten alive.

I hope you keep it up to the point where you'll get yourself booted or voted off the bulletin board.

Someone please give Avek00 a quarter so that he can buy himself a clue. I have seen enough of avek00's posts even before this thread has come about, to come to a realization that in my humble opinion, his contribution (or lack thereof) to what FlyerTalk is all about, closely matches what I believe his username stands for:

Avek, similar to the French word "avec" = "with"
00 = double goose egg, which in plain simple American english means "nothing"

Put bluntly, Avek00's posts come "with nothing" positive to build up this community. Don't count on my vote.

Dan,

You got me again.

I love using my ability to force others to post nonsense.

I think hominem and homonym are homonyms.

dhammer53 Aug 18, 2003 8:48 pm

Isn't it 'homina homina?' (with respects to Ralph Kramden.) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Moderator, since we're so totally off topic, how's about closing this (boring) thread? Please. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

So many egos from all over the world needing to say 'just 1 more thing'.

I have a legitimate question:

Do you consider it proper to post in other airline boards with your tagline (All those who fly Continental Airlines, raise your hands. The rest of you, raise your standards.)?

As long as you use bathe and use deoderant, it doesn't bother me.

Seriously, even though it's Damien, it doesn't bother me and I don't consider it improper.

Goat,

You have to admit that's a cute tag line.

But as I recall the folks who fly CO can't cash in their miles for 'cheap' awards, only the more expensive ones. But since that's off-topic in this forum...

I do believe that it is proper for members to use the same tagline in all forums in which they participate.

FYI: the tagline is derived from a controversial CO ad campaign launched several years ago in NYC.

Okay... here is an on topic question.

Hypothetically, Randy asks the TalkBoard, his personal board of advisors, for help in setting his agenda for the year in talking to frequent flyer programs about what frequent flyers want.

avek, as a representative of the FlyerTalk community, what four or five issues do you highlight as "concerns of the community" that the programs should address on behalf of your fellow FTers?

You know this won't get answered...

GadgetFreak Aug 19, 2003 9:21 am

TechGirl, that is a darn fine question. I wonder what answer if any will be cooked up. When I hear that question asked of avek my first thought is of his bogus call to the UA FF phone line to congratulate them and provide his support as a UA frequent flyer in their decision to restrict fare classes on SWUs. He seems concerned about that. I believe another of his posts refered to maintaining the "exclusivity" of the business and first class cabins. Perhaps that will be a major issue (of course related to the call to UA).
