LX93: Two friends of mine, no status, cleared from a cheap Z fare ex AMS into F with e-vouchers (from an FTL) about a month before departure.

Then they must have been lucky... On the other hand, isn't LX F award space (via miles or eV) available only for SEN/HONs ? I just talked to LX CCC who confirmed that F award space on LX is available only to SEN/HON.

F Awards are only available for SEN and HON; upgrades are available for everyone.

If the LH Cabin Crew end up goin on strike, LH will have to rebook its FC passengers to LX FC since its the only other airline within the LH Group that even has a FC on offer. Hence they are probably keeping the seats as long as possible.

Happened to me two weeks ago: when the 60-hour-strike in Germany was announced, my flight from MUC to the US was cancelled and I was rebooked (at my own request) via ZRH.

Thanks all. Anyway, cleared now, 72 hours out from departure… maybe a sign there won’t be a strike ;-)
