Yup - you can buy and bid … and the buy option for my flight is close to 4K 1 way - who in the right mind would do that - if I can dash out this, I wouldn‘t bought F in the first place - the total price with upgrade is a lot more than the F r/t same route same date and same flight.

It looks like evoucher/miles rank below any kind of fixed price cash, bid, and online check in upgrade. And recently I was told inconsistent info i.e. 1 told me waitlist only clear at gate, another told me can be as early as 24 hrs before …

In past years, most of my waitlisted upgrades cleared long before check-in, sometimes weeks/days before the flight. This year, I have been waitlisted for two F6A0 and F5A0 flights for several weeks, but nothing has cleared so far.

In case that the feces hit the proverbial fan, I have reserved throne seats in the small forward cabin for both flights, so that I can slum it in J in style (unlike LH), but still hope for the upgrades to clear. The whole reward flight and eVoucher/miles upgrade business has become really annoying, with high demand of and low availability of F seats.

In general (on all airlines I deal with) the voucher upgrade has been a lottery game for me in the past 2 years, as they try to get as many $$$ as possible.

So much for hearing our feedback … whatever constructive given, they simply do the other way.

What is predictable at LHG is that loyalty means nothing to them, they just do everything for themselves…..

Actually, SiN has always seen good demand for F. Why is muc-sin op by an A350 w/o F?

I can assure you all, I will be bringing up this topic in the LX Management Talk this week, and will obviously report back.

They should talk to their accountant and auditors too, evouchers (so are miles) are liability on their balance sheet, the earlier they can offload the better and shinier of their balance sheet, why on earth you want to carry forward these liabilities for a couple of year. Let your super elite customers use them properly, this is something easy to implement, at the same time you‘re showing and taking action in valuing them without much of an additional tangible cost (of course there will be some opportunity cost as always).

Lack of aircraft with F ex MUC and LHG has two other flights to SIN with an F cabin. Will go to SIN in F soon and had the choice between via FRA and via ZRH, so no pressing need for F on MUC-SIN.

I understand that they don't do things for us just out of generosity, but loyal customers are valuable to most companies as part of their business model; obviously not so much for LHG.

They can solve this by letting them expire or devalue them, so liabilities go down and revenue goes up from ticket sales.

BTW, an upgrade clearing at the gate would really annoy me, as the F experience includes not just the product on the plane, but also on the ground. An upgrade clearing at the gate means not F check-in for many (doesn't bother me as SEN), no escort (where applicable), no F lounge (where applicable), no limo transfer to the plane (where applicable), etc.
