24AUG2019 LX180 ZRH-BKK F Dinner Menu

Everything I had was solid, except for the steak (I had the Irish tenderloin, but both steak options looked like some kind of processed patty, honestly).

02SEP2019 LX181 BKK-ZRH F Lunch (?) Menu

I had the off-menu option (mentioned by the wonderful crewmember), which was a sliced sausage.

I sent the beef back as it wasn't good. Chicken was somewhat better but also not wow.
My advise is to load up on starters and skip the main course which is exactly what I will do on my next LX177 during that same cycle.
The Sauternes wine was outstanding. Also very much liked the selection of cold meats and the balik of course.
The soup as always on LX was very good as well.

This was exactly my experience as well. The port was great as well, especially with the blue cheese and spicy apricot spread...

DEL-ZRH in C (an 8h30m flight....)

Main course (yes that was it: watermelon with a fleck of salmon mash inside)

Nothing else until breakfast. Neither soup nor chocolate were offered. The surly maître de cabine tried to defend this abomination with a straight face. She considered this "normal", "I've been flying for 30 years yada yada yada..." she said. For good measure she told me I should have eaten in the lounge....

0.55h. By all means offer an express meal for those who want it but I worked all day and and rushed to the airport so I don't think it is unreasonable to expect something to eat. I had economy meals that were more substantial.
chris63 and Maestro Ramen like this.

This is exactly why I don't book SWISS longhaul any more. I met just one too many crews like this and I think that this is unacceptable in a premium cabin. So I stopped, took business elsewhere. They don't care, have got plenty money and they have the arrogance that Swissair perfected before them. And the food on SWISS is seriously rubbish, the main courses anyway. I prefer to fly Emirates economy and save a packet. At least I know what I will be getting (you can see the economy menus online and they are perfectly ok).

Agree, that offering looks really poor for a business class meal

Any idea regarding dates for caviar connoisseur experience in 2020? Is the caviar experience also served on inbound flights (MIA - ZRH)?

TIA!
