Better than none but quite disappointed for the length (5000 pts per 5).

Overall I think it is a good promo for this time of year. Most other hotel chains are ending their promos for a month or two.

Except for Marriott Megabonus, and the low end choice hotels 3x pts, yeah. Although I think Hilton is going to come out with something soon to match.

Lame
LAME, LAME, LAME!!!!!
Pathetic promo. And I thought after the mass devaluation (slaughter) they would have thrown us a bone with a decent promo.

Triple points here, 3/1 - 4/30. I won't have 15 stays in this period, so a nice (little) bonus. Basically, it works out to a 50% point bonus vs the normal 4 points per $pent - just about equal to my effective SPG devaluation. Of course, I had a lot more points that were devalued than I'm likely to earn in these 2 months.

3/6/9 for me too, and works well with the Asia-Pacific Mastercard promo - I'm not complaining at this point.

Thanks - this comes in handy since I have been able to bank about 75K points in the past 3 months using the recent promotions.

5/10/15 for me. I guess I'll give *wood 5 extra stays as I'll be at 15 by the end of Feb. Was planning to switch to Hilton for a few months after 25 stays to keep Diamond there. Guess I might as well hit all 15 before switching.
Afterall, 15K points might be enough for a catnap at a category 7 property

Thanks to FlyerTalk, I am registered. I never seem to get any emails with offers like this even though I am Platinum with Starwood.

Is this new, or did I just miss something?
Maybe I just missed seeing this before, or maybe it's just me, but the confirmation I received says ...
STAY FIVE TIMES, GET 5,000 BONUS STARPOINTS (UP TO 15,000).
Thank you for registering for this rewarding Starwood
Preferred Guest(R) promotion. Now you can earn 5,000
bonus Starpoints(R) after every five stays between
March 1 and May 31, 2007 (up to 15,000 bonus Starpoints).
....
As you know, with Platinum status your favorite places get
even better. Enjoy upgrades to the best available room(1),
guaranteed room availability(2), our Platinum Concierge(SM)
service(3) and a special welcome amenity upon arrival.
...
(1)Subject to availability at check-in for the length of the
stay, provided the room was not booked through a pre-paid
third-party channel.
(2)Member must pay the regular RACK rate. Upgrade benefit and
Free Night Award redemption does not apply when this benefit is
utilized. Minimum length of stay requirements must be met.
(3)Not available in the Asia-Pacific region.
Guess I'm a little confused about condition #2 and #3. What are these lines saying? You need to pay a RACK rate for the Platinum Concierge service, and there is no more amenity for the Asia Pacific region? And the word "RACK" is capitalized on the email, not by me.
Just asking ...

(3) means they dont' have to, but I have always gotten an amenity when I checked in in APAC
they are just talking about plat benefits, this has nothing to do with the promo itself
