Maybe I ought to submit a claim matching my BRG rate with your BRG rate!

The price difference should be related to the reservation fee. One reservation is for 1 night. The cheaper is for 2 nights where the reservation fee has been distributed across both nights.

Four Points Sheraton Toronto Airport

Just a little choked to say the least....If the SPG website claims to be the best rate guaranteed - then why isn't it

I use this hotel as it is very handy and I use it only for a layover for the most part. Even though it is only a few dollars difference figuratively speaking, but why do I always have to go through this process with the BRG team.

This is the way I look at it........In essence if I would not take the time to go through the hassle and put the claim in there would be alot of people staying at this hotel and getting a better rate than I. I ( have been ) a loyal SPG member and sometimes feel like I'm being treated second class OR I have to figure out the little tricks to get the best rate ! Nonsense.

Just my little vent. I do feel better now

Goodness gracious, what are YOU doing on FT? BRGs are a way to get a lower rate and 2000 bonus pts. I LOVE BRGs!

You're definitely not one of us! (... she says from her $339/night room at the W Foshay in Minneapolis that she got for $112 thanks to BRG!)

What happens if after the claim is approved there is no availability ?

Hi there :

If after having the BRG approved , when you try to book , the hotel shows no availability but the competitor website is still showing availability ... you lost the claim ?
Thanks.
Regards.
Carlos.

If you are worried about availability, first make a reservation on a Starwood website that can be canceled without penalty and then submit the BRG claim with the reservation number.

I've had a few successful claims by doing this. If the BRG is denied then you can always cancel the original reservation.

If you didn't book the lowest rate, they can reject your claim based on that factor.

I've had 3 claims approved where I've booked reservations at Starwood for a higher rate than the lowest non-refundable rate. As long as the competing website rate is lower than any Starwood rate, it's been approved.
