Ditto...got my points for 5 brands. I can definitely see myself hitting 9 brands in 2016. But it's certainly within the realm of possibility to get all 11 by end of year...off to the drawing board!

I just checked my SPG Dashboard, and 2 of my hotel stays are now missing. Pagegirl and I stayed at a Le Meridien and my son and buddy stayed across the street at a Sheraton from 12/31/15-1/2/16. I checked in both and paid for both. It was a College Bowl game FWIW. Both of these brands were checked off my "brand challenge" board, but now are removed and shows I need the stay. Not really a big deal, as I'll stay at each of these franchises again, soon.
Lurkers, do these "year-straddling" stays count for the 11 brand challenge for 11k points?

So, if this was a stay that began in 2015 and we are counting stays rather than nights, it would not be counting towards anything in the current calendar year.

As usual, the stay belongs to the year in which it began and the nights of the stay belong to the year in which they fall.
So, if this was a stay that began in 2015 and we are counting stays rather than nights, it would not be counting towards anything in the current calendar year.
So, it appears to me that Dashboard reporting changed in the last couple of weeks (unannounced) from the "night" method to the "stay" method. Is this reasonable to assume?

I think it would be safe to say that the SPG Dashboard is a venue that is always in a state of flux, but it is not out of the realm of possibility that stays which occured 90+ days ago are no longer reflected there.

I've lost you somewhere, here. This 11 Brand Challenge is a year long program. My Dashboard (2 weeks ago) showed 7 franchises where I've stayed this year. Today it shows 5. The two that dropped off were my stays that straddled year end.
Did find this from the T&C-
Stays completed from January 1 - December 31, 2016 are eligible for the promotion.

Has anybody noticed brands dropping off (apart from those year-end adjustments some are reporting)?
I've had a March stay at a Design hotel but it has dropped off. I'm not too concerned about chasing until I get the other 10 done. But still a bit worrying as some of these brands I'm only doing once because of this promo.

Could it be that brands where one has used points, free nights, or C&P initially are counted when the nights/stays post but are removed later because they're not eligible according to standard SPG rules for promos? There could also have been some issues with stays that cross calendar years if the count is based on stays rather than nights.
If a Design hotel isn't participating at the time of the stay, it probably doesn't count.

I don't know and don't know whether the rules are the same for both last year and this year. I just know that as I was approaching the 9,000 points for 9 brands at the end of last year, I carefully audited my account and did my own list of brands that should count rather than assuming that award stays were OK for the promo.
